Lol. See a game that looks so harmless can actually be life threatening.

They look like a dodgy lot. Murder in their eyes and evil in their hearts.

"Mud run health probe into diarrhoea outbreak"

Public Health England is investigating why dozens of people suffered bouts of vomiting and diarrhoea after taking part in an "extreme" obstacle race.

About 3,000 people took part in the X-runner mud run, which involved open water swimming, at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham on 9 July.

The health body is trying to identify the cause of the illness which affected a number of competitors.

Event organisers said water quality test results had been "normal".

You see, N1FFF is right to be concerned. Incidents like this can have diarrhoea consequences and can run out of control, consequently leaving a stain on the event for many.

Check the canteen. Someone needs to examine what cakes were available at this event!

You know those stalls at fetes/carnivals where you put your head through a hole and people throw wet sponges at you?

It's just crossed my mind that I took part in one of these a few years back and a little bit of water got in my mouth. I don't think they used bottled water, it might have been from a tap, but it had been hanging around for a couple of hours maybe, certainly I've read on google that you can get algae and frogspawn in standing water. Possibly legionnaires disease.

I feel fine though. What should I do?

I'm just posting a stock response.

How did this get missed?

There were a lot of jokes being made about N1FFF. This one was quite subtle so it seems not to have made a big splash.

Might be funny but luckily there wasn't a significant current in the river. Coz I was watching one of those search and rescue programs and the amount of people drowning in the river Thames, in the sea from a harmless swim at the beach etc...just brought it all back to me.
I'm awaiting to hear back from the rotary club on their action plan. Hope they will email me and keep me updated.
