This game is awesome. I have had it for a few years. It is very satisfying building a space station, or landing on another planet.

Right now I am trying to work out how to use mechjeb to tell me when to burn for another planet. That would save so much hassle.

My first ship of the full game made it into a perfectly circular orbit at 78km, with fuel to spare. Then I hit spacebar by mistake and marooned my pioneer Kerbal in space. :(

When I ended the flight the pod seemed to disappear. All that was left according to my tracking station was the spare fuel in orbit. It's going to take a while to work out how the save system works I think.

Don't end the flight if you want to keep it, just go back to the space center.

Done. Jeb is now circling Kerbin in a 100km circular orbit with enough fuel to return home.

Is there any way to keep track of your dead Kerbals? Or is it just once they die they just get replaced?

You are playing this game wrong if you worry about dead kerbals. They just get replaced.

Make a graveyard and every time one dies add something to it.

Back into this. Forgot how good it was. Currently building up a space station, with a couple of mods. Once I get the hang of orbital rendezvous that is. :shifty:

The amount of parts has really shot up since I last played it. Once I've got a nice orbital base set up, I'll launch a (return) mission to the moon from it.

I bought this a few weeks ago when it was cheap. Absolutely loving it, it's come on leaps and bounds from the beta I played a few years ago. The music's awesome as well

I think career mode could be enriched by adding some ingame goals to achieve for bonus science. Also the archive screen could be a bit clearer to show you what you'll get for certain missions - maybe you could set your targets and have a calculator on there.

Has anyone been playing the latest version? Loads of new plane parts, most are really good.

Built myself a high altitude supersonic cargo plane, made it 3/4 of the way around Kerbin before I ran out of fuel. All in all, a pretty succesful flight, and I think I could have gone all the way around if I throttled back a bit at altitude, but wanted to see how fast I could go at about half throttle over distance.

Managed just over mach 4.1 at 20km altitude.

I think Ill christen it Kerbin Meteor Mk1. Mk2 will have to be hypersonic.

Updated and played it a little while ago and now every part shows up twice in the menus when you are building the rockets. Same part, price, description everything, it didn't seem to be causing any crashes at least, but I guess I should uninstall and try again.

Also how does the whole missions thing work? I took on a bunch of them met all the conditions while activating the part, but nothing happens. Do you not get any sort of message like job complete etc?

So this is out of early access now and released for the reals. So I finally bought it, and it feels exactly like a work in progress game that's still in early access.

The tutorials are pretty weakly cobbled together, and buggy as strawberry float. It's pretty disheartening when you're being instructed to do specific actions to learn the ropes and the buttons do nothing, or the camera doesn't work, or the menus are missing.

I can tell there's a great experience to be had here, but I've already hit a brick wall on the second tutorial because when you make it to space I have no idea what the hell it's telling me to do to get in orbit.

I got the hang of orbiting and re-entry, so I said "screw the rest of these tutorials!" and started my career.

I'm in this odd state right now where I can't safely get in to space to get the research points I need to get the parts I need to get safely in to space. So I'm just blowing rockets up with no gain, and it's not much fun.

The sandbox mode is calling me, but I really want that sense of progression and improvement from unlocking improved components as I go.
