Nice video

I enjoyed the first one but have mixed feeling about the sequels. I enjoyed this one, particularly the first half just getting to see John Krammer in relatively more subdued scenarios (Tobin Bell has so much charisma!).

Genius move to set this directly after Saw. Easily one of the better sequels - still very much a saw film but it had a more mature tone.

Great that John Krammer got so much screen time (he's the best part of these movies) - but if I had a criticism they humanised him too much. We like him because of his presence, complexity, intelligence, twisted morality and scrambled philosophy - but he is hypocritical and narasitic and evil. In X he comes across sympathetic because we have so much disdain toward his victims - but by the end of Saw 1 he was already responsible for a lot of evil. In terms of striking the right balance of redeemability Jigsaw (a film I didn't otherwise care for and I certainly enjoyed X a lot more) got it more right - the scene where he realised he was in the wrong to punish Logan over an honest mistake and comforted / gave him purpose during his PTSD.

Saw is more interesting when the victims are the flawed types that are being tested not because they're evil but "because they don't appreciate life" - it was a little harder to sympathies with his victims in Saw X.

Bell was great and Amanda absolutely crushed it too.

I know you're keen for Spiral sequel - think we'll get another Bell sequel - I'd be up for another standalone backstory type one like this

I do feel with Jigsaw they cant quiet make up there minds if he is an evil villain, a vigilante or a nut, but I guess in real life people are complex like that. I really do agree that getting a lot of John Krammer helps the film.... by the end I came away sort of liking him for punishing these dick heads and then remembered he has done awful stuff to people who really didn't deserve it in other movies .

I liked this film too. Unlike you I went in with high expectations as I love Rain Wilson (mainly because of the office)

Two unrelated things.
1) did you hear they have announced another saw film due September next year
2) massive congratulations on the weight loss. Biologically we're built to hang onto fat so losing weight is one of the hardest things you can do, seems you're well passed the hump and are enjoying the discipline of it. Must have taken massive self control. After losing so much please do not be deterred by the slower weight loss weeks- you're body will be putting the brakes on a little after you lost so quickly and may plateau a little - this is only a sign you achieved so much.

Also I watched your 'why I became fat in the first place' video. I think the best video of yours I've seen. It was very mature, helpful empathetic and inspiring - thank you.

Well done keep going friend!

Yeah I have heard there is going to be another Saw, hopefully it is as good as the last one.

Thank you very much for the congratulations on the weight loss.. I actually lost another 3lb this week which means in total I have lost 5 and a half stone (77 pounds). I am sure I will put a bit on over Christmas, new years and my birthday but I know if I do I will be able to get it off again... the real goal now is to never let myself get over 15 Stone again any time I see my weight creeping up I will try and take hold of the situation before it spirals.

I wanted to make the why I became fat video because I know a lot of people loose weight and kind of act like it was easy and that anyone can just loose weight, so I wanted to make a video admitting its hard and getting in to the why people gain weight and the issues which might mean they find it hard to loose the weight.

I keep meaning to make more horror videos but I have been putting a lot of effort into my end of year special which is a year in review sort of thing that will go up New Years Eve night... my longest video so far as it stands at 40 minutes with more work needing to be done.

Spoilers Kerr! Hadn't seen that film and you gave no warning, not once your review would have spoilers

;) good job as always. I quite liked that film too.

I didn't see where it was going and bought into the surface plot of their mother's being replaced.

I haven't but wouldn't mind watching it again now I know how it ends. I thought it was well acted the mother did a good job of portraying 'mean' but then not really because she was understandably in pain and the kids were likable enough and you root for them to be ok.

I think the kids were twins in real life and it's convenient the living one was a bit taller because from the living ones point of view he would remember him as he was when he died i.e. a bit younger

Decent film
