Surely everyone enjoys bullying gingers? They are soulless subhumans after all.

(My partner is a ginger. They don't have ginger-bullying in Italy so I had to introduce her to the tradition.)

He has a fair point about his garden, but it's a textbook example of going about it in entirely the wrong way. I very quickly lose sympathy for people like him because of the condescending tone they take.

I had a run in with someone like him when I was about 12. I accidentally pushed onto a bus in front of an older gent (just absent minded, like anyone could be) and this middle aged bloke absolutely kicked off at me. In a daze I apologised but got told "DON'T APOLOGISE TO ME, APOLOGISE TO HIM!" The older man was absolutely fine with it. My mum had died relatively recently, so I just felt like breaking down and crying on the bus. And it was all so that man could think "WELL I TOLD HIM!" strawberry floating flat track bullies, only have the balls to stand up to kids and service employees...

The guy shouldn't have yelled like that but what a load of gobshites thinking they can trespass if someone doesn't answer the door

Also I have a legit question; I accidentally left my door open slightly after answering a courier that woke me up with a big box I had to put down somewhere. Not a great move because there's a bus stop outside. If there's no forced entry is it still trespassing or burglary if people enter and take gooseberry fool? Or are you basically allowing people into your home? I guess they need consent?

For example insurance companies won't cover theft from people allowed into the property.

I just looked up an article on this subject. According to the article enter somebodies property without permission is trespassing which is a civil offence not a criminal one so they couldn't be prosecuted for climbing the fence and retrieving their ball. Taking stuff would still be considered theft though and would be a criminal matter.

I don't really see why people are saying the kids were in the wrong or were deliberately doing it. They seem like they're being pretty calm and reasonable IMO. Also when playing football occasionally I've skied a ball when trying to shoot and could easily see it going into somebodies back garden.

Maybe if it was a constant thing, I'd think the guy had a point, but if it's a one time thing he's just a dick.

Here is an overhead view on Google Maps.

Of course they are doing it deliberately. I would imagine the bloke has been a dickhead to them in the past and they are now deliberately kicking balls in to piss him off.

And it worked.

If it's the one house on Marion road next to what looks like a garage I could easily see knocking a ball into his garden. All it take is putting to much power into a ball that bounces awkwardly and you could easily knock it over the fence.

I'd say TWOCing stuff makes it very definitely illegal (whether it's theft or burglary I don't know).

Theft I believe involves person to person interaction. So snatching a handbag from someone's person, for example.

No nobody came in or at least took anything but I went back to bed at the top of the house and it was open for about 5 hours. :fp:

I live by a road, people actually lean against the houses waiting for the bus quite often so it would hardly be an inconspicuous robbery, I'm still lucky nobody took anything from my living room.

It just so happens our home insurance was cancelled the day beforehand as well because they decided making t shirts was "heavy business use".

I read that as "If people enter and take a gooseberry fool". I've been pondering the scenario for a good couple of minutes.

 my girlfriend shut the door when she got home. I now have an easy to follow flowchart explaining what to do when the door is open to prevent people "stealing all the games".

What better motivation is there?

We called it knock a door run..

The kids are a bit gobby and all but the guy comes across as a bloody mentalist. It reminds me of a guy I used to live on the same street as, basically kids would do things like knock a door run or other annoying crap but most of us would shrug it off and it would stop, this guy would scream threaten to kill them, sob etc and what do you know soon they were doing stuff to him constantly while ignoring everyone else. Most of the time if you give kids a show your just asking for more and more hassle.
