We used to get a lot of kids climbing in our garden at our last house. It was an utter strawberry floating nightmare. No exaggeration.

It made us move house.

I believe one such incident was covered in depth on GRCade in the past.

When I was growing up, there was a miserable old bastard nearby who used to lose his mind if anybody skateboarded along the lane near his house. He didn’t own the lane but he would shout and scream at any kids that dared go near it with a skateboard.

Obviously we always took that route on skateboards even if it made our journey far longer.

He hilariously lost it, but I'd be pissed off too if a bunch of kids kept booting a football into my garden and climbing in to get it. What did they expect him to do, constantly lob it back over or keep answering the door to let them get it?

He's right, if they are that gooseberry fool, don't play football!

+1 like for being Rik Mayall

He's a lawyer? So I guess he was right about it being burglary, presumably. I think I side with him now!

You should visit him in jail on your skateboard.

He’s not really. Or at least he isn’t as far as I know.

We did catch him cheating on his wife though, our school bus stop was near a house he’d pop into in the mornings. Dirty old bastard should have let us skate and we wouldn’t have told his wife about his morning friend.

That’s what I was thinking, it’s not burglary. It’s civil trespass and potentially he could have a case for harassment if he could prove that they were deliberately kicking the ball and climbing into his garden to cause him harassment, alarm and distress.

I would assume he was saying it’s burglary in hope that it would scare the kids off.

Looks like he was at the end of his tether, after happening loads of times. It must be infuriating, as Poser found.

For a lawyer, though, not a great advert for his services.

I'm surprised he didn't pull the old "I know where you live!" line.

We used to get that all the time when cherry knocking.
