I've completed the first six chapters and so far I'd rate the single player campaign at about 6.5/10 it looks good but there's some really unforgivable flaws throughout that just bring the single player campaign down. The plot isn't the best and then there's some really poor platforming sections during the campaign that there's absolutely no need for. Luckily I have played multiplayer and that's really where this game shines.

Completed chapters 3, 4 and 5 earlier. I think Shadow Fall has finally clicked with me, the atmosphere on chapter 3 in particular was excellent, it really made me wonder what a full on next-gen version of Dead Space could be like. It was also a massive shift in tone for the game, and the Killzone series in general.

I swear with each chapter that passes the soundtrack also gets more god like.

I've just started chapter seven and the free falling section is just terrible. This for me has become a case of get the single player campaign completed and never speak of it again.

Chapter seven ended better than it started but the start of chapter eight and what do you know freefalling is back...yay.... :fp: they sure know how to make a pretty game but the levels look as if they were designed by children.

So far the chapters in order of those that offended me the least are 1,6,7,3,4,2,5.

Was that intentional?

Chapter 3 is kinda scary isn't it? :dread:

And experiencing the above right now in multiplayer. What the hell! Change of pace to BF4!

MP is awesome, really good fun. I can't help thinking the turrets and revive drone is overpowered on the support class. I wanted a PS4 mainly for BF4, but I've had more fun so far with killzone.

Got to chapter 3 last night, not far. Something that stood out for me is that a game like this sticks with you in a way something like Battlefield doesn't. I don't think the shooting is as good, but it's different, and that's just a little refreshing in this genre.

Having said that, Halo is still far and away better from a gameplay perspective.

Chapter 3 was almost a first person Dead Space. :datass:

Ao I was wondering...is there some kind of freak monster that's going to jump out at me?

I love the 'idea' of these games but hate playing them.

Multiplayer Warzone is so good :datass: Makes Battlefield look really dated and rough.

Wasn't really feeling the game until Chapter 3. I'm glad everyone liked Chapter 3, very atmospheric. The audiologs really helped with the vibe too. There was one bit where you have to turnoff the flames and grab a log from a charred corpse. Walking around and hearing what actually happened was pretty creep! I really hope developers use the controllers speakers more, the level of immersion has bags of potential.

Had a blast on MP yesterday. Playing support and setting up spawns, reviving people and loving Warzone. Real surprise as I've hated the MP on the other Killzones.

Warzone is a thing of beauty, simple but so effective at changing how a match is going. Pity Operations mode has gone from KZ3 but at least the end game player animations have survived.

The Dark Trolls poster in the kids bedroom and Helghast power rangers.

Really liking the game's campaign even though I'm still pretty much right at the beginning.
