Wii and DS Worldwide Total Sales

As of 31st December 2010, the DS (DS, DSi, DSi XL) has sold 144.59 million units, globally, and the Wii 84.64 million units.

And with that, there (almost) goes Sony's record...and in half the time.

That is impressive and when you consider all the first party games they've sold for those systems as well = bank.

Not quite or might have by now, but as of November 2010 the PS2 had sold 147.6 million. Bloody close either way.

I think its interesting that the Wii might not end up beating the PS2s sales.

At 62 million, it does have quite a way to go, doesn't it. But then we still haven't had that price cut yet.

Me too, and it just goes to show how incredible that PS2 record is.

I don't actually think the Wii will beat it. I don't think Nintendo have the console sellers (for Wii at least) left in them to shift 60million more Wiis
