King of the Hill

For no reason at all (Hated the show as a kid) i decided to buy the first season of King of the Hill a few months ago the story of Hank Hill a Texan with a love of Propane. My god now i just can't get enough of the thing. I have the first 5 seasons on DVD and can't wait for the rest to hit the shops.

The show just hits you with unexpected humor and could quite possibly be the most intelligent animation ever created. For some reason it just feels so realistic to family life and the satire is perfect.

Any other fans out there?

Like when you were young, I detested it. Still not keen.

It's awesome and unlike a lot of other long running shows has never really been terrible.

Peggy needs to just die though. :x

Im a fan, it gets a lot of hate doesn't it? I really liked it. They should do a box set of all of them for about £30-£40. I'd buy that.

A 13 season TV series is never going to be as cheap as £30-£40.

I guess people don't like it because the characters are Texan. I bloody love it though.

Mike Judge.

Especially when Fox has no intention at the moment to release season 7 + ( 6+ over here)

Love KotH. Criminally under-appreciated.

Love it. Shame the DVDs sets are so far behind. I've watched 3 and 4. I'd rather go forward than backward.

Have FX stopped showing it? damn. Has any channel actually shown the later series of KOTH? whether i watched on FX it always seemed to be one of the earlier series, maybe 1-5. I don't think i've ever seen any of the more recent stuff.

There's not even any dodgy asian boxsets on Ebay.

Would often slag it off when I was younger despite quite enjoying any episode I happened to watch. Haven't seen many episodes even now, but most that i have seen I've really liked.

What seems to turn most people off of it is that they see it as a conservative Simpsons, which is stupid.
