I've had my eye on this for a while now and it looks right up my street.

A realistic non fantasy RPG set in the Czech Republic back in 1403.

Despite one of the lead designers being racist ( https://kotaku.com/my-e3-meeting-with-a-pro-gamergate-developer-1715511964) I think I might pick this up if it reviews well.

It's 900p on X1 and PS4, 1080p on PS4 Pro and 1440p on XB1X.

I'm excited for this, definitely picking it up!

How I'll find time to play it around Monster Hunter is another story

Looks interesting. I'll be waiting on reviews through before I pick it up.

Ties in quite well with the "separating the art from the artist" thread from last week.

I love me some medieval stuff so I'll be keeping one eye on this.

Love the look of this, but it'll have to wait.

Metacritic 72

No wonder they had a review embargo up until the day of release, always a bad sign.

If Kingdom Come: Deliverance has a ton of bug fixing to improve the performance drastically, it could be a hidden gem. It’s clear that the game, despite its grand ambitions, was simply not ready for public consumption. Shimmers of brilliance are there and had it seen more time in the oven, or set its expectations at a more reasonable level, it could have been brilliant and scored significantly higher as a result. Alas, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is another cautionary tale rather than a trend setter.

Sounds like the game's a bug-riddled mess.

It's got a massive day one patch though, so there's every chance the reviews were made off a much worse version of the game than people will actually get to play.

Believe.

Why did you quote the lowest review? (40)

Here's one from middling score's :
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a surprising, unique and precious experience, whose imperfections disappear in the embrace of a world in which you will leave a small part of yourself. - 80

Had the initial forty-to-fifty hour campaign not delivered the level of bugs and problems present in the current build, you'd easily be looking at potentially one of the year's best all-round experiences in an RPG and an essential for everyone no matter your affiliation with the genre. As it stands, visually, technically and mechanically sound as its foundation is, Kingdom Come: Deliverance's performance is an unruly and occasionally unpredictable beast. -70

Does look a decent game actually, I quite like the fact it's meant to be realistic rather than fantasy for a change. When I'll have the chance to try it out I have no idea but I would like to at some point.

Reviews on this are all over the place. I'll wait for a sale and a few bug fixes I reckon.

Looks interesting enough, but I'd wait till the price drops under £20 before even thinking about getting it.

Seems like an average game to me and one that requires a bigger studio, however fair play on their efforts. I may pick this up when its £15 digitally.

This really could've done with a couple more months in the oven by the sounds of things.

Releasing it in February instead of April really wasn't worth it, poor reviews kill sales.

A realistic non fantasy RPG? So that's no wacky stuff like dragons, goblins or magic and gooseberry fool right? So what are we left with, people and wildlife? Sounds a little dull to me.

I've tried to read up on this but every discussion i've seen has descended into an embarassing left/right political argument with armchair historians/internet racists throwing around facts and opinions to the rhythmic hum of fedoras being tipped 300 times per second.

This came up in several 'Most Anticipated of 2018' videos and articles I saw and I was always a bit baffled why when it looked like a bit of a Skyrim knock-off trying to do The Witcher with a simplistic coming-of-age male fantasy story.

Might take a look eventually as a decent period piece in the same way I approach the idea of playing Assassin Creed games.

The save system sounds absolutely idiotic though.

Gonna wait for a couple of patches to go by before I look into getting this. I really like the look and idea of it, I just don't want it to bring up flashbacks of Bethesda games.

Restarted this twice last night as I tend to do with western RPGs, now I am actually starting to understand the systems (as well as actually learning the controls).

All three times I played out the opening significantly differently, it seems like the quest design is done to a high level with various routes and resolutions depending on not only what you choose to do, but what you have done previously making different things available to you.

It's definitely got some jank to it, but I am pretty confident after going to be at 2am that I'm going to like this game. Even with the annoying save system and long loading screens.
