I've tried using Calibre and to be fair it works great but I just prefer to have the bought versions with the nice book covers and stuff, I think it is because I worry it wont be the full book or will be strawberry floated with in some way where as the from amazon version will be guaranteed good.

You know you don't have to illegally download the books you put into Calibre, right?

There are plenty of places other than Amazon to buy books.

True but whats the point. Why buy it somewhere else, put it in Calibre and then add to Kindle when I can just buy it direct.

Kindle books are hardly expensive. For the sake of a few quid over a year I can't be arsed.

Its not something I regularly do, but if there's something I want for sale on Google Play Books/Nook/Waterstones or wherever I don't have to worry about it not working on my Kindle.
