He also stated that he’s giving an interview to former 1UP editor Mark MacDonald as he won’t be at the show.
Obviously, this means the Metal Gear overlord won’t be making an appearance in either Microsoft’s or Sony’s press conferences.
However, don’t be heartbroken just yet: Konami’s holding a pre-E3 event on June 2 and a full show conference next week, and it’s been more or less confirmed that at least two new Kojima Production titles would be shown there.
Earlier today, Kojima announced that recording for his new title has begun.
Well, atleast we're getting something. So is it possible this is something outside of Metal Gear? Kojima was tweeting some bad news the other week
Hideo Kojima has announced that something we know nothing about has become meaningless to him, which points at a possible cancellation from Kojima Productions. Apparently, he’s been “delicately preparing” the unknown thing for a year, and now all that hard work has gone down the drain. It first came to light when Kojima tweeted the news from his Japanese Twitter, before keeping us English speakers in the loop.
He seems very distressed about the whole thing, because he tweeted “I can’t take it anymore; this is unbearable, I can’t stay positive” before he posted the bad news.
Although it’s unlikely that this will have anything to do with Metal Gear Solid: Rising, Metal Gear 3DS, NGP Project, Devil Project or Zone of the Enders 3, we really have no idea because “the thing” is shrouded in so much mystery. Still, poor Kojima, it can’t be fun to have all his hard work just fall flat on its face.
