The updated version will be priced at $40 on PS4 and XBO and $50 on Switch.

I'd imagine that'll be a straight pound-sign for dollar-sign conversion for the UK.

I know that Sherlock: Crime and Punishments was a Games with Gold on Xbox One at some point. I had already completed it on 360, so have not gone back and replayed the One version yet.

This was a game with great potential and it could have been brilliant, but it was far too long, had some strange gameplay mechanisms (mainly the dialogue) and the driving was tedious and dull. Certainly wouldn't fork out for it again. Why not remaster RDR; much better received, never released on PC and gives people a chance who've never played it to get into it before RDR 2.

Because a port of RDR will be given for free as a pre-order bonus for RDR2.

Got to love that $10 Switch tax.

I'm excited for this, I loved the original, and recently paid to get the actual game back on my PS3 via the store (damn near had to wipe my drive to make it fit), so the more PS3 games that come on the PS4 the better, so I can get rid of the thing.

That said, I think the pricing's a little high when they'll be newer games out at the same time, but I'll pay it anyway.

And this is why they keep getting away with upscaling last generation games and charging full price.

I mean I said I would, but mostly likely i'll pick it up second hand :shifty:

Don't think I've paid for a game full price in the past 3 years to be fair.

http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2017/11/09/rock ... e-remaster
One of the most bizarre quirks in the detective game L.A. Noire was that choosing the “doubt” option—out of “truth/doubt/lie”—would transform protagonist Cole Phelps into a raging psychopath. For the remastered version, publisher Rockstar has changed those options entirely.

As evidenced in a new trailer for the Switch version of L.A. Noire, which comes out on 14 November alongside the PS4 and Xbox One versions, your options during interrogation are now Good Cop, Bad Cop, and Accuse.

Rockstar confirmed to Kotaku that this change will apply to all three versions of L.A. Noire. “The change was made so that the options more accurately reflect Phelps’ behaviour when a player selects each choice,” said a company spokersperson.

Can't recall the game well enough to determin if that will work - seems to really limit roleplay and the "illusion" of detective work

Hah, I mean it's probably slightly more accurate, but pretty much just shows how badly handled dialogue options were

LA Noire had some great ideas but didn't execute all of them well

 im sad because i think it will eliminate the utter amusing bafflement when you choose doubt and Phelps just goes mental

Pretty much the first thing I think of when I think of LA Noire's questioning is this:

Seeing that in 4K will be a treat.

What a shame it's such an empty, lifeless environment to drive/walk around in, and that's coming from someone who enjoyed the game when it originally came out.

The detective bits where you survey the crime scenes were great, but the open world bits were pretty dull. I think the best level/mission was when you had a big shootout in a massive film studio, that was quite enjoyable.

Totally agree about the open world. I gave up on exploring the map. There were some great set pieces in it the game using the setting as you say, but it's best to follow where the main story takes you.
