Basically my little brother has been on my dad's laptop and every time he is finished using it instead of shutting down he tells me he just pushed the on/off button, and now whenever you log on it just loads a black screen, yet you can use task manager to load up documents etc just windows bar at the bottom, the background and all icons etc won't load. The OS is Vista as well, any chance anyone knows how to fix this as my dad will go apeshit when he finds out my brother has fecked his laptop up.
