It's worrying that the mass murder of small children at Sandy Hook didn't make this guy think "Hmm maybe something should be done" but at least he has now realised. Hopefully him speaking out will make a few other 2nd Amendment supporters think.

Humanity in general are usually that way, but it does seem especially prevalent in the culture of the USA. The whole "don't tread on me" freedom thing has been taken to an extreme degree, which has led to it being acceptable to have more weaponry in your house than most countries own for their entire militaries. And anybody that suggests taking them away or even just regulating firearms is painted as a hater of freedom who is probably a communist.

Apparently the guy had bomb making stuff at his house. It seems like he didn't use it though.

I can confirm, being married to an American that they generally lack empathy. I broke down in tears about sandy hook, my wife was sad but not even close to tears. We can't talk about politics because we argue so its off the table. This latest shooting was the same, the thing that really annoys me most is, when I do lay out the facts, she logically agrees but getting to that point is so annoying that I can't be bothered.

The Fox News front page has Hannity moaning that Democrats are trying to do something about gun control and saying they have no shame.

The guy is just an utter cretin.
