Pretty much this

This is stomach churning. It's just horrendous how asymmetric the damage can be from attacks like this. Automatic weapons have no place in civil society.

Having heard the gun in video's, it doesn't sound like an AR, I shot an AR which is semi-automatic, you have to pull the trigger per shot. Gun sounds like a fully auto machine gun, which means it either old, or illegal.

I hear they have now caught the 'Asian female companion' or 'flat mate' depending on your news source.

"Warmest condolences"

If that's his real response then bloody hell he really is gooseberry fool at even trying to seem sympathetic to others.
Let's see if he can get his fat arse out of the golf club and maybe, just maybe act like a President and look like he takes any tragedy seriously.

That Tweet is spot on, if they will not change gun laws when a school is massacred, then they will never change. The answer will always just be they need more guns and so the cycle will continue.

No, I agree with the Sandy Hook tweet, after children, strawberry floating CHILDREN were murdered and Obama and the parents campaigned and still failed, it was a watershed moment that nothing will change.

I know practically nothing about guns, what I really mean by automatic weapon is something that shoots lots quickly. Anything that can be used indiscriminately against groups. The self defence argument falls away so quickly with such offensive weapons.

Agreed, the AR I shot was considered a 'toy' by its owners (my wifes brother) you can't hunt with one, they just target practice with it for fun, they used rifles to hunt.

No...but the fact you thought it could be says a lot.

His proper "warmest condolences" tweet was posted above.

Fox News contorting and referencing ISIS is slightly amusing.

I’d agree to an extent, but Columbine was older children murdered by classmates. Sandy Hook was a massacre of very young children by an adult.

Both cases are proof of the callous selfishness of second amendment defenders though.

I don't know what it is Fox News are saying but there is no difference really between the two outside of ideology. The outcome is identical. The guy may as well have been singing Jesus Christ Superstar out the window.

One of their 'commentators' went off on a tangent saying ISIS did recently threaten vegas....they did correct him but still. :fp:

As president your first thing to do would be to offer reassurance. This does not seem to do that at all.
