 That is a perfect way to describe it.

Call it 'different' all you want, it's still an average film. I'm fine with them passing the torch to new characters and story lines, but when you completely cock up the tone and themes from start to finish why even make it a Star Wars film?

I will call it different thank you, and also a great film. Because it is!

ESB>TLJ>ANH>TFA>ROTJ>ROTS>>>>>>>>>>>>TPM>x infinity >AoTC

Here's another scene for you, BB8 in the AT-ST. Up there with the factory scene in AOTC.

AOTC clones isn't just by far and away the worst Star Wars movie, it's one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Utterly dreadful from begging to end.

I agree.

*Edit* I distinctly remember watching AOTC at the cinema and thinking it was a pile of gooseberry fool despite really enjoying TPM 3 years earlier. TLJ is the first Star Wars film since then to give me that feeling.

To be fair on AOTC, there was a lot less Jar Jar scenes.

True, but then there was Hayden Christensen. Two whole movies of that gimp filling up the screen. :dread:

Why has this spilled over into here - when it has its own thread?

Haters are gonna hate. Do we have to have the same gooseberry fool in two threads? On a film that's been out for almost 6 months now?

Maybe there should be a GR Recommends thread where people can recommend films they hate?

TJ Miller (Deadpool) has been arrested for calling in a fake bomb threat on a woman he had an argument with on a train last month. What a nugget. :slol:

1/10 - it just wasn't funny and I found the whole thing unbelievable.

The Quiet Place - 10/10

What a film this is. Can’t really fault it at all.

Everyone should go see this in the cinema.

The Quiet Place: 10/10

Lost a point for a couple of silly things. Regained the point for Emily Blunt.

Absolutely Anything

5/10

Passable stuff, yet ultimately forgettable.

Rampage - 8/10

From the director of San Andreas, excellent monster movie. Great effects and action scenes and the final section is basically the game come to life. Really good fun and very well filmed. Pure popcorn film.

Excellent I enjoyed San Andreas and I'm probably going to see it next monday. The reviews seem good enough for me, with the small number of bad reviews from the usual reviewers who just don't get 'popcorn films'.

I find it hard to believe that Rampage is an 8/10 movie

If it's reviewed within genre it's 8/10. It's not Citizen Kane but as for a big fun silly movie it's great.

Citizen Kane would have been a better movie if it had monsters and starred The Rock.

I haven't seen Citizen Kane but I have a feeling I wouldn't like it. There's something about films that old that immediately puts me off and I really don't know why.
