The Nice Guys - 9/10

I don’t think I have ever seen a film with Ryan Gosling in before. And this was a great start! Consistently funny with great performances from Gosling and Crowe as well as the supporting cast.

I’ve heard good things about Drive but also heard that it’s a pile of crap. I will get around to it one day.

Not heard of Crazy Stupid Love. Is it a shitty romcom?

Yeah best rom-com I've seen. And I've watched 27 Dresses.

Has anyone seen midnight meat train? It's not a porno. I thoroughly enjoyed it - though it is utter shite.

Hasn't that got Vinnie Jones in it? Looks terrible.

Midnight Meat Train should be utter gooseberry fool as it has Vinnie Jones and Bradley Cooper in it...... But it's actually very good fun. Vinnie doesn't speak. It's based on a Clive Barker story and it has some lovely gore in it. The ending is very good and is what holds it all together.

It's from the same Japanese director as Godzilla Final Wars, Versus and Azumi. He knows how to make a good looking film. And his slow motion gore shots in this are very special. Also it has a cameo from Ted Rami, which makes it even better.

It's a memorable, funny and dark movie, well worth a watch for those with Netflix

I might give Drive a watch at some point, but I will not review it in here. Seems way too controversial. ;)

It'll be like that time Herbi gave Predator only an 8/10.

I enjoyed Drive but it's very easy to understand why someone wouldn't like it. Certainly not a controversial viewpoint.

Now that is a controversial viewpoint .

It's a ludicrous viewpoint is what it is. Each to their own and all that, but seems to me RS hasn't seen many films in the past decade.
