American Sniper - 7. Not exactly what I was expecting and a very abrupt ending, almost like they edited out the last 30 minutes or run out of budget.

Yes?

Central Intelligence 5/10 - Meh, not an interesting story not particularity funny.
All the Way - Drama based on LBJs first year as president. Bryan Cranston gives a great performance but it's not overally interesting.
Warcraft 5/10 - CGI Mess
Fabulous Beasts and where to find them 6/10 Missed opportunity. A much more interesting movie is hinted at beneath. Felt the main peril wasn't cannon.

Batman and Mr Freeze: Subzero

In the highly competitive realm of Batman films in which Mr Freeze is the villain, this reigns supreme.

8/10

I used to do that when I was a teenager, check out all the screening times then wander into one after another without heading back out into the main lobby. Had the added bonus of being able to see 18 rated films that way.

Man I get griefed for hating on films all the time, but I also watched most of those recently, however:
Central Intelligence was fun, but not great but was funny enough to be an enjoyable comedy
Warcraft (I have played loads of wow so maybe I will appreciate it more) had too much story so jumped about too much, and as a result was a bit confusing at times, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it
And Fabulous beasts was actually a good film, not sure how it starts a new franchise, but I really enjoyed it. Liked all the cast and will be happy to see them all again

However if you want to hate on a film, I finally managed to get through Star Trek: Beyond. Utter trash, normally I do not have issues with peoples accents, but Simon Pegg...... he slipped into his normal accent so many times :fp: . Also managing one of the worst ways to stop a bad guy ever. Really want to know if anyone can suggest something worse, it is easily worse than Independence Day. Also I just do not think I like Chris Pine. I really hope they kill this franchise

But what if his penis is in the popcorn.

Only fair that you finish what you've started

The Birds - 5/10

This was comedy gold; the effects, the stupid decisions the characters make, some of the scenes, and the overall premise - just really funny and bizarre. It wasn't quite as cringeworthy and ludicrous as I'd expected, but still pretty average.

I actually rated Star Trek above all those. It's possible I'm being too hard on Fantastic beasts purely because of hiw disappointed I was.

Train to Busan - 4/5

Excellent zombie movie. The movie World War Z should have been. Really good music, effects and threat throughout. Subtitled version is out there in HD. Worth a look as it's the best zombie film since the Dawn of the Dead remake.

Wish my image sig would work

Suicide Squad - 1/10

Genuinely, one of the worst films I have seen in years. It was an insult to the audience and such disregard for the characters of the comics.

The Babadook - 6/10

I almost turned this off within the first 10-15 minutes because the kid was just so damn annoying - just constant whining. It got better, but not much. The kid was still incredibly annoying, and while I kept watching (mainly to see the Babadook), not a great deal happened, and the ending - which I guess was intentionall 'subtle' - was just a bit meh.

Hmm... I shall watch it tonight if I have a time and I haven't seen a decent zombie film for a while, so this could be the one.

It's my second favourite horror movie this year after The Witch. It doesn't waste any time in getting started and the pace is fantastic throughout.

It is rather fun. There were some annoying moments with how strawberry floating stupid people can be, but it's nothing that really hampers the film.

It really is bad, I watched it it 2 sittings, the first half wasnt that bad, it was not good, but not the awful film I had heard about. The second half :fp: :fp: :fp: The fact as Deadshot was Will Smith they tried to make him almost a good guy was farcical as well. Really was B movie fare. Man this summers blockbusters were bad

I still haven't got round to seeing Suicide Squad. Feel pretty indifferent to it really, never read any of the comics (or knew they were a thing until the film was announced). Was it worse than Batman and Robin?
