The Wailing - 5/5 - South Korean horror movie. Beautifully filmed and very well acted. It builds and builds while constantly making the audience try to second guess what is going on. Highly recommended for those who like horror, mystery and movies which don't rely on noise based jump scares.

Wish my image sig would work

Schwarzenegger saved B&R... Just.

Suicide Squad have no one to save it. Even The Joker is shite in it, his looks is absolutely crap (he doesn't scream The Joker for me really) and underused really.

One of the most boring films I've ever seen. The "humour" doesn't match its style as well. Crap editing.

And Will Smith is a cock.

So many wierd decisions in it, you could tell it had a troubled filming, as there was just so many things that were out of place and so many decisions that made no sense. The Joker being in it made it worse, as really you would rather just see a Joker and Harley Quinn film than going back to Suicide Squad. (Also all the Joker scenes did really wreck and pacing for the second half of the film) Last thing I will say is the special effects were terrible especially El Diablo at the end, and Killer Croc.. why was he so small?

I still haven't seen Batman and Robin, Batman vs Superman or Suicide squad.

Have no immediate plans to rectify this.

Suicide Squad was rubbish aye, but I did find it the most bearable DCU film to sit through...for whatever little that's worth.

Fantastic Beasts

S'alright. Really weird film tonally, lots of shenanigans scenes inter-spliced with brutal child beatings and angst...

Best thing was probably the cast, all of them are fun. Felt daft for not recognising that the nightclub owner was Ron Pearlman!

6/10

Excellent zombie movie. The movie World War Z should have been. Really good music, effects and threat throughout. Subtitled version is out there in HD. Worth a look as it's the best zombie film since the Dawn of the Dead remake.

Hmm... I shall watch it tonight if I have a time and I haven't seen a decent zombie film for a while, so this could be the one.

Train to Busan.

Now, I've seen it and I agreed with both comments. It's really a great film and it has been a quite while to watch a decent zombie film. At some scenes, it was tense to watch and I enjoyed it a lot.

Recommend.

TBH? Out of those three, Suicide Squad is probably the best of a really, shitty, bad bunch of movies!

Fruits Punch Samurai wrote:Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children 4/10 What a mess. The film was far too convoluted and never gave the cast any breathing room. The first half was entertaining in a junk food binge kind of way, but the second half unravelled so damn fast.

Watched it last night. This pretty much is what I thought as well. The first 2/3 of the film were good, the final third just went to pot. And how pointless was the main character? What exactly did he do? Though I'd probably give it 5.5/10

When Marnie Was There: 8/10

I cried like a little person-of-interchangable-gender. Proper, face creased up blubs for a good minute or so at a time, during the film and the credits. What a beautiful film, visually and thematically. I did think the ending was a little too neat, but it did tie everything together in a rather lovely way and I love the fact that, like some of the best Ghibli films, the viewer is never expressly told whether the story is fantastical or psychological. Just a pleasure to watch.

Also, I realised afterwards that I didn't even consider picking my phone up while I was watching. I can't remember the last time I saw a film at home without at least having to put my phone somewhere out of reach. Both a sad indictment of my attention span, and a testament to this film's storytelling.

Lucy 7/10

Really enjoyed this, quite short but I think that makes it a better film.

Very reminiscent of Lawnmower Man, Limitless and Akira in places.

Your Name 9/10 Amazing. Anyone who enjoys Ghibli films needs to go see this. A romance story mixed with the supernatural, mixed with sci-fi.

Alien - *****

It is one of the best Sci-Fi films ever and the 1080p looked brilliant.

PS: Can't wait for Alien: Covenant and the first poster looks epic. :toot: 8-)

Is Skyfall the best film out of the Daniel Craig era?

Yeah, except that Casino Royale is quite a bit better than Skyfall.

Quantum of Solace isn't so bad when you watch it after Casino Royale as a double feature. But yeah, I still rate the others above it.

Agree with that.

Thought Skyfall was overrated. Haven't seen Spectre yet.
