Kumiko The Treasure Hunter 7/10 Japanese woman goes off to find the money buried in the film Fargo. Expected quirky upbeat movie, didn't realise it was based on a tragic true story.

99 Homes

I remember someone in this thread mentioning it so I downloaded it months ago, finally got around to watching it. Some tremendous acting in this, great plot, 9/10.

Zootropolis.

Meh, it was good I guess but not the masterpiece that everyone has been saying it is. The story is slight and the moral discrimination theme was pretty heavy handed, even for a Disney flick.

The sloth was bloody great though.

7/10

The Gift. Not as good as I'd hoped but some nice plot twists. 6

London has Fallen - 1/10. I watched the first 30 minutes on Netflix but I can't bring myself to watch any more. It's total garbage.

The Revenant

Absolutely brilliant. Superbly directed, stunning cinematography and terrific performances from the leads. My current complaint with modern cinema (gooseberry fool CG) rears its head a couple of times, but not enough to spoil anything too much. Highly recommended.

9/10

Me and the missus have watched tons of films over the last week on Sky:

- Sausage Party. 1/10. The hilarious trailer is the best bit. Rest of film is dull and not that funny
- Bruno. 6/10. Sure it's an old one but it was our first watch. The first few mins were full on and set the scene. Not as good as Borat but more offensive if that's possible.
- Grimsby. 7/10. More Sacha Baron Cohen. More insulting and more gross than Bruno and Borat. 'That' elephant scene though
- Star Trek (2009). 9/10. Seen it before but loved it on a 2nd watch.
- Star Wars A Force Awakens - 8/10. 3rd watch and still enjoyable. Made me fire up SWBattlefront too and bought the DLC fir it
- Everest. 9/10. A true story and a sad one. Looked awesome on our big telly but the harrowing true events hit home too much for the missus. I loved it, if you're allowed to enjoy such a story. Read up on Wiki afterwards too
- Hitman Agent 47. 7/10. Enjoyable but not quite as good as the previous Hitman film. Might be cos 47 had a thin amount of hair instead of being bald. Took me out of the immersion

Evil Dead. Different enough from the original to warrant a watch, but nothing great. 5

The latest Mad Max.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but I was home alone on NYE, so watched it on BluRay with the sound on loud.

8.5/10. Great action sequences; quite relentless. Costumes and characters were great, too. Something very Borderlands about it all, and it was quite an uncomfortable watch in the current political/social/environmental climate.

Never got to see Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's Furry Road, though. :(

Do you have the edited for TV version of the BluRay?
