Enemy - 8/10 - Interesting little mystery thriller that probably requires a second viewing to fully appreciate.

Hell or High Water - 8/10. Great film. A bit like a modern day western also in the same vein as No Country for Old Men. Great characters, great story.

Yes, it was lush. Preferred it to NCfOM, but I possibly need to re-watch that as it's been a while.

Sounds amazing. I'm a banana split so I might have to watch it just to consolidate my status.

La La Land - 6/10

It was alright. Songs were a bit gooseberry fool considering it was a musical.

La La Land

I wonder how much Roli paid to get the Seaboard into that one scene.

I really liked it. Chalky's right though, that ending is right in the feels. Makes me want to get back into dancing, too.

Wasn't keen on Ryan Gosling for the most part. For the first half of the film he's far too much of a damp squib, and I've never liked his singing voice. Amazed that all the scenes of him playing the piano ARE him playing the piano, though.

Disappointed that the songs weren't that catchy considering they were written by Pasek & Paul. They've done some amazing stuff in the past.

7/10

Apparently Mia was originally meant to be Emma Watson :| Glad she couldn't do it.

"No, Jamal. YOU be trippin'"

Please don't.

I think it's the most offensively stupid film I've ever seen, the women are all money grabbing banana splits obsessed purely with material goods. And the thing drags on for about 3 hours, purely for some gooseberry fool heap wedding that's only happening so the woman gets 50% of the apartment. And at the end literally nothing has happened - absolutely nothing. Nothing has changed between the start of the film and the end. Spoiler alert. Watching felt like a form of sadomasochism.

Heard the second one's even worse but I'm not sure such a thing can be possible.

That is absolutely incredible. The first is very similar, I could feel it pushing me towards the Red Pill by the end.

Why did you even watch it?

A few reasons; it was the only television that was on in English and the internet was being really temperamental, had a couple of drinks and initially I was enjoying taking the piss out of it with the girlfriend.

After about an hour and a half I was getting utterly sick of the stupidity but I thought it must have been nearing the end - considering nothing had happened I thought they couldn't possibly drag out their insignificant problems for much longer. And by the time I checked how long was left I was already 2 hours in and committed. I'd made it that far so it was a point of pride to finish, praying to Jesus that something might actually happen in the denouement. It didn't.

Split - 10/10

Right..... Go and see this film. Avoid all spoilers and go and see it because..... Just because. It's amazing.

Two leads are brilliant and it's nice and creepy. Starts good, geta better and then.... .

Just go and see it and thank me later.

If you go in spoiler free like I did. It is a amazing and there is one bit where I couldn't stop smiling. Best cinema moment of the year so far.

Wish my image sig would work

I've just seen it and I don't know which bit you're referring to. Tbh the best part of the film was when Jessica Sula took her skirt off.
