How can anyone prefer MI2 to 1 :dread: 1 had all those amazing set-piecs and my favorite, the restaurant scene with all the Dutch angles. It's probably the only movie in the series that actually feels like a spy movie.

Also, MI3 is great. Philip Seymour Hoffman is outstanding in it.

Agreed.

I thought the fourth one was not bad though.

I've liked the last three to be honest.

Thandie Newton was worth 2 or 3 points alone.

MI-1 suffered for me as I felt like I had already seen it all over the last 20 years. MI2 felt fresher, although I had seen the rock climbing scene.

MI2's ending was poor though.

Just about to see just how bad Terminator Genisys really is.

I'll be back with my verdict.

If you're into torture then just go to Syria and let ISIS capture you, it'll be less harmful to you in the long run.

MI3 is the best one! The 2 after were nowhere near as good. Phil Seymour Hoffman makes it.

MI3 probably is my favourite one too, PSH being by far and away the best antagonist in any MI film, but 4 and 5 are both good.

It's worse than Fantastic Four (2015 version) by a distance. That's a difficult feat to achieve.

Enjoy. :dread:

That was.... better than T3.

Still rubbish though and utterly messes up the whole Terminator-ness of the franchise.

Emelia Clarke though :datass:

I'm starting to think I've confused 2 with 3...

I know for certain 4 was my favourite though and that 5 was surprisingly enjoyable. I remember watching 1 not that long ago and thinking that it had aged badly.

Really struggling to remember what happens in 2 and 3.

I don't want to defend T3 but that is a crazy opinion. T3 at least had a great ending.

I haven't seen 3 yet, but 2 is the one about the virus and is set mainly in Australia.

Wonder Woman 2/5

As a film divorced from politics this is awfully disappointing. It's dull as dishwater until a fantastic, heart pumping action scene about hallway through, the sheer joy of which it never comes close to reaching again. There's longing looks, boring dialogue and your standard fair overly CGIed finale. The latter is worth mentioned twice as it's utterly absurd and genuinely looks like a Dark Souls cutscene at points. Likewise, some of the general CGI is atrocious, proper Burly Brawl levels of "computer mannequins fighting" type stuff, and the compositing is godawful.

Despite all this, I am glad it exists. The imagery of the film, the posters and trailers, are well needed at the moment and despite it's dullness I cannot even imagine how inspiring this would be for young girls. Hopefully the next film can properly do the character justice.

That guitar riff though:

Now I've had time to think about it more I realise I was very, very wrong.

There's a (number of) ridiculous plot hole(s) in Genisys which is never explained.

How and why is the T800 known as 'Pops' sent back to 1973 to protect the 9 year old Sarah

Also, how did 1984 Sarah and Pops know the T1000 would be waiting for Reese?

And furthermore how the strawberry float did Pops know how to build the time machine using 1984 tech when 'CyberJohn' couldn't do it with 2017 tech?

Pretty much this. The start to MI3 is just awesome:

In regards to Terminator, I haven't even bothered with the latest one. Like Die Hard, Ghostbusters, Alien etc these franchises just aren't for me anymore.

Do you often contemplate the complexity of life?

You'll all be shocked to learn that The Mummy is bad. Really, really bad.

Mission Impossible 3 - 7.5/10

Best of the first three MI movies. Great action, great baddie, Lawrence Fishburne and Maggie Q's dress at the Vatican :datass:
