I eagerly await which minority group will get their superhero next. The Asian Assassin? Transgender Wo(man)? The Ginger Crusader?

Hey, as long as it's not another version of The Amazing White Cipher I'm all for it!

Already a thing. You never watched Asian Superman, all 100 versions of it? Asian Star Wars? Asian Goonies? YouTube is your friend for ethnically diverse movies. Okay they're all utter dogshit, but hey 'represent'

Spiderman Homecoming

Loved it. Michael Keaton was great, Tom Holland nailed being a teenage superhero, the whole backstory and fitting into the MCU was very well done and the comedy all worked for me. I'm now fully up to date and ready for Infinity War.

Forget superheros, there needs to be more diversity among religious deities, such as Chinese Mohammed, Canadian Buddha, and Black Jesus.

Guardians of the Galaxy - 8/10

This appeared back on Netflix, so thought I would watch it again. Great show.

Your Name - 9/10
Thought this was brilliant. Everything was top-tier; the animation, the soundtrack, the story, the pacing…a clever and very well-made film.

I adored 'Your Name'. I watched 'A Silent Voice' on Netflix recently, which isn't as good, but was still very enjoyable. Recommended since you liked Your Name.

Ready Player One - 8/10
I really liked the book, and while they've made lots of changes, I understood why they were made.

Ready player one - fantastic, truly fantastic. Not read the book so can't comment but I try not to compare books with their film counterparts anyway. Best to just treat them as different entities.

Free Fire 6/10 - Love a bit of Ben Wheatley but this was more misfire than free fire. For such a cast nothing really came together. Unique concept but ultimately quite dull.

Wonderful film, probably the best animated movie i've seen in recent times.

The Witch - 6/10

Felt a bit like it never really amounted to much. Finchy was good though, that guy's voice is so recognisable.

I re-watched 8 Mile and it's still terrifically entertaining. The script is decent and the environments really capture the vibe. I love that it projects the "real", grimey side of life but builds moments of uplift into it. 8/10.

Yeah thanks for that, coincidentally I noticed A Silent Voice on Netflix just before watching Your Name and had earmarked it something to watch. Good to know it's decent.

The Hurricane Heist

Was this the best “B” movie I’ve ever seen or one of the worst?

0/10

Utter shite. And not in a good way.

Ex-Machina - 7/10

+ I liked the premise
+ Thought provoking
+ Alicia Vikander
+ Sonoya Mizuno

- Felt a bit rushed towards the end
- Lacked...something
