Nah, Daredevil was even worse than The Amazing Spiderman (though not quite as pointless).

Nah, it wasn't that bad, especially when compared to the steaming pile of turd that was the Ben Affleck Daredevil movie.

1. Yes it was that bad.

2. I have never seen the Affleck Daredevil movie.
Oh no it isn't.

I liked the DareDevil movie, stop with the hate bitches.

Went to see the DareDevil movie at the flicks. It was god strawberry floating awful and we spent most of the running time laughing at how bad Affleck and Colin Farrell were ("Yew mayde me miss. Oi neva miss!"). Kingpin was good though.

Interstellar 7.5/10

I wanted to give it 8, because I enjoyed it a lot. But there were certain 'parts' that were a bit crazy, and therefore I wanted to give it a 7. But i couldn't decide between the two.

I remember enjoying it at the cinema but watching it years later and being horrified.

The director's cut really is a different film to the theatrical release. It's 30 minutes longer and includes a subplot that was entirely cut from the theatrical release (in favour of a needless focus on romance) which makes the overall plot make a lot more sense. It still has many of the same problems but it's a lot more watchable and benefits a lot from the cut content.

Ready Player One

8/10

Not the sort of movie i'd normally go for as movies related to gaming generally tend to be a bit crap, but decided to give it a try because it's by Spielberg, glad i did too as it was excellent.

The Meg - 11/10

Went in with very low expectations. But this was awesome. For a 12a rating it has enough fear and shocks to keep adults entertained.

It takes itself seriously and isn't Sharknado it's more Deep Blue See.

Cast are all great with everyone having a chance to shine and the deaths actually having meaning as they have personalities.

Effects are all great too.

It moves along at a good pace and has some genuinely surprising stuff. One bit towards the end was really surprising and well done.

Just a great summer film with a very likable cast and a large shark.

Wish my image sig would work

That explains the source of it, but it's still a terrible title.

It's like Steven Spielberg calling Jurrasic Park "The Rex".

Nah, he’d have called it “The Rap” and tricked hip-hop fans into going to see it.

Inglourious Basterds (2009) - ****
Really enjoyed it. Tarantino knows perfectly how to maintain your interest through an incredibly slow burning scene, there are at least three extended parts of this film where characters are simply sitting down at a table and talking, and yet they are far more interesting than any elaborate spectacle in most other films. However, I can see this film suffering from Pulp Fiction syndrome, where I was completely engrossed on my first viewing but on repeats, am just waiting for the bits I liked most. With Pulp Fiction, I mainly want to see the Jules and Vincent interact, and I imagine with this, I'd be waiting for anything involving Landa plus perhaps the bar section that makes up a decent chunk of the middle.

Django Unchained (2012) - *****
I haven't seen them all yet, but Django is my favourite of Tarantino's films so far. It has all the strengths of films like Basterds but also seemed to offer a lot more nuance to mull over, so I feel like repeat viewings will be just as entertaining. The film "keeps it funny" on the surface with a fairly straightforward revenge plot and some outrageous moments, but it's also a great exploration of a black man learning to manoeuvre and manipulate the web of lies and self-delusions that allow slavery and racism to persist when they are so obviously a gross injustice, even to the people who perpetuate them. The brief moments of action are just awesome as well, so brutal and their brevity gives them so much more punch.

I'll try and watch Hateful Eight tomorrow.

Extinction - 7/10

I intended to watch Annihilation, but got mixed up with the movie titles. I thought this was alright though. Interesting idea I really liked the reveal on the main characters seemingly prophetic dreams, acting performances were a mixed bag.

The general consensus for the film is that it was terrible. If you like Sci Fi, I'm sure you would like something in this.
