I enjoyed Solo tbf. It absolutely didn't need to exist but it was fun enough. Felt like they knew that the only people who'd bother watching it were Star Wars nerds. Qi'ra being a master of Teras Kasi

Not as bad as I was expecting it to be. Biggest laugh was Lando's Calrissian Chronicles vidlog and the activist robot.

The Nun - 6.5/10
I liked the cast, funny moments as well as the spooky bits. There weren't really any jumpy bits though. Interesting how it links to the Conjuring films.

Crazy Rich Asians - 7/10
Interesting film with a full asian cast, simple classic love story, seemed to drag a bit at times and some of the script was cringeworthy.

Inferno - its a film, which is a kind of moving picture created for entertainment purposes, starring Tom Hanks, who is an actor, and it's based on a book, which is a collection of words that form a story. And it explains every single thing with the most ridiculous dialogue ever heard/10

I mean, I can’t say I’ve ever been involved in the shooting of two people and subsequent Wicker Man-esque cover up after a trip to a Highland pub.

Daddy's Home. Seen it before but it is good fun. 7.5 or maybe an 8.

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (2005) - 5/10
Better than I thought it would be but still not as good as it should have been. I've been reading the book recently with the kids and it is still such a fantastic read with so many excellent parts that should translate perfectly to a film, but this isn't up to the job.

The kids are all surprisingly good in it, but Johnny Depp gets Wonka all wrong and comes across as "sex offender" weird more than anything else!

Either way you can watch the trailer for this and see all the best bits. 98% RT score is an elaborate practical joke played at the expense of anyone who bothers watching it. If your idea of "Crazy good" is Nic Cage discussing what his favourite planet is with a woman who has the emotional range of a Door, then yeah, this movie is crazy good.
I dunno, maybe it gets better but i knocked it off after an hour as i couldnt stand much more of it. If you liked only god forgives, maybe youll like this, but all i got out of it was awful dialogue, and hammy acting, with visual effects that were just like someone put a massive purple filter over every single scene. I jsut dont get why 'art house' must mean everyone has conversations that have zero bearing on the plot and sound like nothing a real life human conversation would ever sound like

That's all I needed to hear. I'm in.

To date, this is the only film I've ever walked out of the cinema for, utter garbage.

Same, i also don't get why they feel the need to have extra long shots of nothing particular actually happening (some of which contain the 'characters' just staring into space).

The last Jedi. Perfectly entertaining and spectacular to look at but we've got to face the fact that no future star wars film will ever capture the soul of 4,5 and 6.

Deadpool 2 - 9 out of 10. Was gid.

Avengers Infinity War earlier yesterday. It was pretty good. Funnier than I thought it would be. Probably the funniest the MCU film in my opinion, at least from the ones I've seen. And there were quite a few nice poignant moments. Also geeked out a bit at the new Spiderman suit. That must have been based or at least inspired by the one in Superior Spiderman, which is one of the very few comics I've properly read.

Looking at the list of MCU films, I thought there'd be more I haven't seen yet. I kind of went off them, but ended up randomly seeing some more or tagging along at cinema trips when I had nothing else to do. Haven't seen Ant Man 1 and 2, Guardians 2 and Dr Strange. Oh and The Incredible Hulk but that's a bit of an outlier. Not really very interested in seeing that one though I'll probably check out those others in time.

Dr Strange is a good film and is a must watch so is Guardian's 2. I didn't mind Ant Man 1, i have not seen the sequel but i am the same as you regarding Hulk not interested in those films either.

The Hulk movie is actually a lot better than i expected it to be, Ed Norton was very good as Bruce Banner, though in the years since, the MCU seem to have forgotten the fact that Betty Ross ever existed.

Guardians 2 however, was just a brightly coloured CGI trifle.
