I don't remember any heads on spikes in either of the Ghostbusters films?

Oh, man. I'm sure that was cut from most airings of it. I don't remember that at all.

I had it on VHS, so it was always there.

On a separate note, a lot of people didn't like Ghostbusters 2, yet i enjoyed it (and still do) just as much as the first.

It's not as good as the first but I really like it. Objectively the tone tone is a bit all over the place and there is some pretty stupid stuff but the first hour or so is really good and it's cool that they made something so different to the first.

I have never seen that scene in 2.

I watched it relatively recently for the first time in a long time. I think it suffers from some pacing issues, but there are some genuinely creepy moments throughout and the music really adds to it (the score, not the equally amazing pop tracks).

I love the whole part where they go down in to underground.

Ghostbusters 2 is nowhere near as good as the first movie, but that’s not an insult as very few films are as good as Ghostbusters.

My old VHS copy of Ghostbusters contained both films on one tape, and had an episode of Adam West era Batman sandwiched between them for some reason, cost me just 99p in a Woolworths sale some time in 1993.

Just found a pic...

But the Bobby Brown track is as good as the Ray Parker Jr one.

I just watched Victoria & Abdul and I thought it was fantastic.

Both the main characters were superb and the story is both powerful and gripping. Anyone who likes drama will love this and I can't think of anything I didn't like.

Ray Parker Jr didn't get Whitney Houston addicted to crack though.

Yes, and that's why his song wasn't as good.

If Ghostbusters (2016) had asked D'Angelo to do the song, it would have been a better movie.

Insidious: The Last Key - 7/10

An enjoyable horror with some decent scares, plus Lin Shaye is awesome because she sent me an autograph a couple of years ago.

Ghostbusters (2016)

Watched it this evening in the end. Kids seem to reasonably enjoy it, more so for the fact that it is definitely more of a children's movie than the original. That being said I don't think they'll be asking to watch it again more than once as is often the case when I watch movies with my kids.

Personally found it to be all over the shop. A handful of funny moments, but mostly dull with some awful cameos. Not a great remake.
