Some of the CGI in The Expendables movies reminds of the cutscenes in Command & Conquer

Haunter 6/10 - Not a bad straight to DVD haunted house movie.
A Nightmare on Elm Street - 6.5/10 - It wasn't as tacky as I was expecting (rose tints), some of the FX are a bit ropey now. Englund hams it up! One, two, Freddy's coming for you....

World's Greated Dad - 7. Watched this with my kids, didn't know this was going to be so adult themed. :x

We're the Millers - 8. Good fun and Jenifer Aniston still has a fit body.

Zombi 2 (aka Zombie Flesh Eaters)
Started out pretty badly with some terrible, hammy acting, but that's part of the charm of cult horror movies. It improved and dragged me in though, and the special effects and make-up were really impressive for a 35 year-old film, including one especially gruesome death scene - right in the eye. :dread: Definitely worth a watch.

Coming up later this week: Infection, Killer Klowns From Outer Space

Is that the film where a topless, female scubadiver gets attacked by a shark which in turn gets attacked by a zombie and they end up fighting each other?!

One of the worst films I've ever seen.

Recenly watched:

Django Unchained- Excellent, and completely different than what I was expecting. The first Tarantino film I've watched, and definitely going to try some more based on how good this was. It looked great, entertained all the way through and I was surprised at how much I laughed at it. At least an 8, maybe a 9.

Rush- This was superb as well. I haven't watched F1 for years, but it's perfectly suitable for those who don't follow the sport or don't know the story. Really well made and both leads were great. I don't think I've seen Natalie Dormer in anything where she doesn't get them out at some point. Another 8 for this.

Cap'n America- It was alright. I enjoyed it, but parts of it felt very generic. 6

Cap'n America: Winter Soldier- A much better sequel, and seemed to make some big strides in the Marvel world. 7

Source Code- Another gem, really good. Wasn't expecting much from it; thought it would be like Looper, which I found very ordinary, but it was much better. 7

Next up: Memento (heard great things about this, and a big Nolan fan, so looking forward to this).

Gravity - Stunning! The camera work in this is incredible. It is constantly moving and doesn't cut away for many minutes at a time. It really feels like you are in space with the characters.
The film jumps right into the action from the start and hardly slows down for the entire duration. I'd give it a perfect 10 if it wasn't for one major plot flaw about halfway through: When George Clooney let's go, the physics don't seem to add up there, he had already stopped and so couldn't have been any burden at all.

9/10

Rocky 2 - 9/10

Stallone had some acting chops. Best scene was the press event with Creed trying to trash talk Rocky.

Creed just looks super pissed the whole time

Killer Klowns From Outer Space

Actually amazing  Just cheesy, slapstick horror with plenty of genuine laughs. The clowns were terrifying and the music throughout was brilliant (The Dickies - Killer Klowns - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCDMwGepugQ). Definitely recommended.

Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie

Not that funny, except for the Shrim tub scene.
