Rise of the Planet of the Apes starring John Lithgow - 8/10

It was pretty good, although I was expecting more closure at the end. I guess they'll be making a sequel because the film didn't really explain how mankind falls.

The post-credits sequence shows the airline pilot neighbour spreading the disease around the world, or something. I can't remember. I think they are doing a sequel, what with Rise being a reboot of the franchise. I expect the next film will be about humans resistant to the disease fighting the apes.

I do like that film though. Franco

I'll agree with Trag that the pacing seemed a little odd at times but I otherwise enjoyed it a lot.

Would you also agree that his first costume was cooler looking than his second costume? Throughout the end I was wishing he had the "silly" costume back on.

gooseberry fool man, I thought it was awful! Everytime he said "Me? I'm just a kid from Brooklyn" I wanted to smash him in the face. Terrible, terrible film. Really enjoyed Thor, though.

Easy A - 4/10

Tried way too hard to be the new Mean Girls. What a load of gooseberry fool.

Also can't see what the fuss is about with Emma Stone, she has the voice of a 40 year old.

I also thought this was awful. The first hour or so is dull, the 2nd part is average at best. Thor which was also cheesy was much better. The best bit is Hayley Atwell. Worst comic film I have seen in a while.

A Lonely Place To Die - Started off really good, but the 2nd half turns into your typical action thriller. 7/10

Alien

It was going well until the pointless twist (it's a bit of an annoying cliche of sci-fi films, having some kind of AI that doesn't tell the team everything...), then it went a bit... off.

On the whole though, I enjoyed it (well, as much as I ever enjoy horror(y) movies). Liked how the cat seemed to be included just to add in a few annoying jump scares (unless it's used in the second film as a carrier of the chest-burster thing) :x

I'd watch it again.

8/10

Hot girls, but boring as strawberry float. And Cher is so old.
