"Now is Good". There's something in my eye out of ten. I read the book it's based on "before I die" and the film was a solid adaption. strawberry float cancer :(

This Is The End - ****

Really enjoyed it, have to have some connection to the actors really but if you do it's great. Michael Cera is incredible, should've kept him in for longer.

I really don't know  Some individual bits of it made me laugh but I just ended up with an overall feeling of "wtf?" rather than enjoyment

Looper - 9/10 (maybe 10/10)

Even better than I was anticipating. So damn good. Even though I knew what happened at the end, I kind of forgot and it was still surprising. And although I've not thought about it too much, it seems like very thought out time travel. Can't really come up with any holes in it.

I read the discussion from a month or so ago, and their arguments were crap. Obviously didn't watch the film hard enough.

Anung wrote:Zero Dark Thirty - 7/10 - It was alright. Jessica Chastain is lovely and it had a great cast. Didn't think it was anything special mind. Decent thriller. Thought the passage of time was jarring in this as jumps several years ahead without warning (or anybody changing much). Some great shots and tense climax.

The last 30 minutes was great

PLAY | Persona 3 Reloaded [3h]
WATCH | Ted Lasso S3, HiJack S1, Red Dwarf S4, Dexter S2
RACE | Chew Valley 10k (June), GNR (Sept), Cardiff Half (Oct)

Gangster Squad is rubbish. Ryan Gosling is very close to being in the same camp as Joseph Gordon-Levitt; overexposure makes me question if he's really all that.

Watched Despicable Me 2 and Hummingbird today. Both good watches in obviously very different ways - DM2 is an extremely feel good film and I'd whole-heartedly recommend it. Hummingbird seems to have a rather small plot for such a long film but has some decent fight scenes and Jason Statham is generally a good watch.

I watched it solely for Gosling, and it was worth it. Not the best film, but decent for an action flick.

Robot and Frank - 8/10

Loses a mark for multi million pound jewels being kept in a 3-digit combination safe, and the thief just happens to know this
