As per Garth's request, I've carried this thread over from that-place-we-shall-not-mention-anymore.

So... what was the last game you finished, and what rating would you give it?
As before, the rating style is up to you, be it PP's 5-star rating, the traditional out-of-ten or a percentage, just let GRcade know what you think! :D

I'll start with Kung Fu Panda on 360:
Excellent little movie tie-in with a straight forward platform action style, very reminiscent of my old GC fave, Samurai Jack - 7/10

CoD 2

Frustratingly infinite supply of frag-grenades for the Germans. Ridiculous that enemies sometimes will spawn infinitely if you just continue to snipe them from a distance. Makes the sniper-rifle totally redundant in some cases.

Saying that, it's very fun at it's best, and perhaps I shouldn't have started on Veteran. [7]

MGS4. 10/10. Don't care what anyone else says, I thought it was simply amazing. Wonky story telling or not.

MGS4 - 9.5/10

so very epic, especially the nostalgic bits, almost had me in tears. Cut scenes let it down tho - it was like some over ambitious film student with no grasp of the word 'editing'

Shadow of the Colossus

Awful camera and ineffectual narrative ruin what is a triumph in every other area. Paradoxical fusion of linearity and freedom with maybe the most tangible controls in any game ever (topped off with phenomenal art design).

Nice.

Frontlines: Fuels of War 7/10 A good, solid shooter. Quite short in SP. Not quite up there with the likes of CoD4 or Battlefield BC, but good fun all the same.

Strongbad's Cool Game for Attractive People: Ep 1 8/10

Really good game, full of Homestar humour and decent point and click puzzles. Shame you have to wait a month for the next episode.

Blue mother strawberry floating dragon... 38 hours / level 52

I never really found this game to be hard or troublesome, like most JRPG's which put me right off, this had a real nice feel to it, ok the main characters got on my nerves, I think it was mainly down to the voice acting, but it really was a beautiful game to play, some amazing looking cutscenes, some great boss battles and an intresting ott story. I found the end a little tiresome as
you went through about 10 bosses, to get to the final reincarnatino of sazbo, to get to the nene who evolves 3 times.... then destroy! who wasn't that bad for a last boss, saying that with how it ended if he cast fire and brimestone it would have wiped out everyone! but i was safe due to using 4 corperal attacks. (I did all of them first time! ;) )
I only really struggled on one boss where I had gone too far, and had to backtrack and grind 10 levels to beat him with ease.

The only thing I really hated with a passion was the strawberry floating boss music!!! What in the blue hell was that! it was like an Elliot Minor cover group! it was so bad.

7/10

It was my first JRPG i have ever gone through and completed, I usually turn off after I get stuck on a boss near the begining like that spider thing on FF8, i cant remember where i got stuck on FF7 and FF9! I am going to try Lost oddessy soon i think.

80 strawberry floating achievement points for 38 hours work... cheers you banana splits!

Siren Blood Curse

Intense, gruesome, bonkers and most importantly, shit-scary. I loved this for the most part, let down by a few sections that were, well, crap, if I'm being brutally honest. They are worth working through for the rest of the game though. It's like an old-school survival horror, but with loads of great ideas of its own. And only 20 notes on PSN. Thatch niche.

Whoa Harsh score, but i agree. In before Flame.

The same old formula saves it, but only for a 7/10 - the story alone is 4/10.

Guitar Hero: On Tour

Finished every song on every difficulty now. A nice handheld interpretation of Guitar Hero, but unfortunately I think the appeal is wearing off for me. If Decades doesn't have Wi-Fi play I could see myself selling this off. Still I've had fun with it.

Kane & Lynch

Twice, second time on hard and doing the extra level.

I know this game has got some stick but I wasn't expecting anthing great and really enjoyed it. A 7 easily.

Alone in the Dark, 360

I actually thought it was pretty good. Yes it had some obvious flaws but overall it was worth the £20 I bought it for.

Glad to see someone else that liked K&L. I love it. :D

It's much better on hard too as then you really do have to use your team tactics. Which in turn, makes the game a lot more fun.

Soul calibur 4 (if you can call it completed) - great at first, boring very quickly 8/10

or Uncharted (replayed) - 9/10

MGS4 (completed 5 times in a row back to back, loved it!) - 10/10
