Or they'll get a fuckton of cash from it and use it to make stunning games.

Either suits me fine.

I guess this game will have a rewarding time at the BAFTA's this evening.

Good luck Naughty Dog!

Yea hoping it gets the nod over GTA V which seems to be its main competitor.

Awards are funny things. Seems a shame that two such fine games should have to compete for honours.

The Last of Us passes 6 million in sales:

As we did in 2012, we’ll have a large pack of Dogs giving talks at GDC 2014. We just wrapped up The Last of Us: Left Behind to universal critical acclaim. It currently has a score of 89 on Metacritic making it the highest rated PS3 downloadable content ever. We also recently received five BAFTA awards, including the coveted Best Game in 2014, for our work on The Last of Us.

We’re now heading to GDC to talk about some of the techniques and process that went into making The Last of Us, which has now hit over six million copies sold worldwide, as well as what made Left Behind, our first ever downloadable, single player story chapter, so unique.

Only got this recently and been playing on and off for the past week, enjoying it very much, but...

Seems the combat side of it has gotten dull and very repetitive, sneak through a building choking out some humans, or creep about avoiding clickers n what not. Then the puzzles are more along the lines of 'find the ladder in the grass' than actual puzzles.

The dialogue and cutscenes and story telling are amazing, but I can't help but think that it has failed as a game when i'm looking forward to the next cutscene rather than the next bit of game play.

Come on... it was ok at first, but just crouching around behind people then strangling then soon gets dull.

I only recently got a ps3, and this and uncharted are the only Naughty Dogs games I have ever played, Uncharted the combat was so bad I couldn't play the game. This the combat mechanics in this are nice and well made, just dull. Seems to me they spent so long on the visuals and story that they forgot they we're making a game, not a movie.

I'd still give it a strong 7/10, because the other elements are so strong, but it's still failed as a game.

Really surprised by this post, it's almost as if you never played the game. Can't imagine anyone who has would say the combat mechanics are dull. Because they're anything but.

Did you try Uncharted 2? Gunplay is better than in the first and third.

Are you playing on easy or something?

Or do you just play COD 24/7?

I'm playing on normal.

I never said the mechanics themselves are bad, it's just how they are used. Seems nearly every combat situation is the same, sneak around and choke people out. No much variety, it got boring very quick.

I have only played a few hours of the first uncharted. Maybe I was spoiled by the Tomb Raider reboot, but this just feels like an inferior cheap copy (yes I know it came out first but I didn't play it first).

Not impressed by either of the Naughty Dog games i've played so far.

Yes, Tomb Raider has definitely spoiled you. I'm replaying TR at the moment and its core gameplay is a copy of UC but the action and set pieces are a lot better paced than what I recall of UC 3 and Golden Abyss. Will have to play UC II again to see how it measures up.

I wasn't bowled over by the gameplay either on my first run through. I'm nearing the end of my 4th replay though so it's obviously doing something right.

How they are used? The game doesnt force you to play like that. You are choosing to.

I played it on hard first time through and even then I had enough stuff to go in guns blazing at points.

The game gives you a lot of options. Don't complain it's repetitive when you are the one making it so.
