I had no idea that the same guy (Troy Baker) that voice acts for Joel is the same guy for Bioshock infinite's Booker Dewitt and many other games/cartoons. Pretty cool.

Yeah. Usually it's because the disc needs a wipe.

Yep Troy Baker, he's the new Nolan North. He's really good, he does a cracking Joker too, he's the Joker in Arkham Origins.

I thought the actress that played Ellie was fantastic too, a large part of why I love this game is down to their voice work.

Troy is in everything.

He's in Persona 4 too. And Infamous. And Batman

If there was going to be an uncharted movie, I could see that as game to movie adaptation that could work far more than I could TLoU. The characters in TLoU have so much depth I couldn't see that relationship being emulated on screen, to the same level by a director like sami ramir... His films usually have a sense of dark humour entwined throughout the narrative. TLoU is a serious story, sure there's some humour but it's not meant to be like a dark comedy. This will probably be a mess.. besides it doesn't need any film adaptation period. Naughty Dog must just be greedy seeing as their games are hugely successful.

I'm pretty sure Raimi is only producer, not the director.

Do you often contemplate the complexity of life?

I dunno, just making a movie out of it seems to undermine its success as a game narrative.

Its like they've made the story successful enough as a game that they get to do it properly in film.

It'd be okay if they did a walking dead and just had it in the same universe. Wouldn't be a fan if they just remade the game though.

It's a strange concept. They strive to make games more like films. They manage that, and now games also frequently gross more than films, too.

I can't see why, when a game is this cinematic and immersive, you'd want to risk tarnishing that by making a film of it. Also, do they focus on the same plot, which would be pointless, or focus on a different plot, which would negate the need to licence TLOU in the first place...

it gets the brand out there. Same reason there is a need for speed movie and shitty music documentaries.

That doesn't make it a good idea.

I expect people who talk about artistic integrity of a project and only adding new stuff if they have something meaningful to say, not to sell out.

Well it's either they are in on it or they let someone else ruin something they created.
