Still great fun. It's historically all over the shop and a bit lightweight in places, but it cracks along at a fair old pace and is super entertaining. The characters are almost universally great, particularly King Alfred who somehow manages to be both likeable and a total arsehole.

7/10

Season 3 is coming to Netflix later this year. It is no longer co-produced with the bbc and is solely a Netflix production now.

Cheers for the heads up, I always missed it on BBC anyway and watched both series on Netflix.

Wild Wild Country - 10/10

All the way through it I was just like ‘nah not all of this could of happened, no way, absolutely not’...but it was just sheer disbelief layered by more disbelief layered by more disbelief, insofar as it all did. Extraordinary.
So Taf, pack the soapbox away, I did my bit.

Safe. It was enjoyable, but a bit of a cheat that it only revealed the true story in the last couple of episodes meaning it is just going to lead you astray for the first 6 episodes.

Safe

Enjoyable little series bit missed some rather crucial whodunnit checkpoints which means I can only give it a 7.

Edit: Curiously, lots of people on Reddit think that Michael C. Hall's accent was terrible and questioned why he couldn't just play an American. Shockingly, those doing the complaining were all American.

I thought his accent was great, although I would be hard pushed to say where in England his accent came from! Never understand why they get Americans to play English and vice versa, not like there is a shortage of actors or they can't just play a person from their country with a slight script change.

About and episode and a half into Arrested Development season 5 and um,

Image

It's not good at all. The scene of Maeby and George-Michael midway through the first ep felt like something from an entirely different show. AD has always been super kinetic and this was a long, ponderous face-to-face scene with no dynamism and no laughs. It actually felt like a drama series.

The rest hasn't been great either, with very few laughs and a continuation complete lack of subtlety that marred series 4 ("Let's strawberry float our way across Mexico!" Urgh).

A very bad start.

Honestly, S4 felt completely different to me. Judging by what you are saying and what I seen of S4, they may have lost what made this show so good.

The Flash S4 - 7/10

Liked it more than s3 but it isn't without its flaws, the main story arc was alright aside from The Thinker's plan being utterly ridiculous - he's supposed to be a super genius, not psychic yet the vast amount of stuff that he 'calculated' would happen would only be possible if he was indeed psychic, mainly him knowing exactly which 'random' abilities the people on the bus would get..

Was just nice to have a villain that wasn’t a speedster. I also thought the Ralph story and HR’s arc were both good too. Just a shame the actual finale felt like a letdown

Up to episode 6 of Arrested Development. I haven't laughed once, the plot is incomprehensible and it's just... Bad. Really bad. Possibly worse than 4. At least that series made some sort of sense

I watched the first episode of the new series and had no desire to watch anymore.

Yeah it was pretty sick and really showed you how messed up some people are to such degrees they appear to of convinced themselves of innocence.

Good call. I sort of want to see it through just so I can say I did but...it's tough. Tough going.

Apart from my wife and most teenage girls, I think you might be.

Some of the music actually sounds quite catchy. :shifty:

It is, but I come for the emotional highs and lows.
