Should have filmed it in Luton for the real end of the world vibe.

Watched the UK version of the final of Survivor last night.

I personally think Chris should have won, he seemed to be the only person who realised it was a game out of the majority of the players.

Lee with his blatant lying about his boys alliance having never been a thing.

Matty just followed the crowd and I don't think he realised it was a game until late on.

Some players who got blind sided appeared to have taken it to personally. (Tinuke I'm looking at you) It's a game!!!

I think there is room for improvement in the format and I hope the BBC work on it and bring it back next year.

I hear the Australian and US version are superior and the Amazon one is available on prime so I'm going to try and catch up on that.

The Traitors season 1 (UK) - 8/10 for the first half of the season. 6 or 7/10 towards the end as the formula got more stale. Extra shout out for the lovely shots of Scotland.

This is the one programme over Christmas I can't wait to watch, it'll be an odd watch, knowing its the very last time we'll see all of the characters, last years Christmas special was fantastic. Loved watching all of Detectorists for the first time earlier this year.

Reckon my favourite character in Ghosts has to be Pat though

The show's timeline ended in 2005, so no.

Obliterated on Netflix. 8/10

Alot better than i thought it was going to be. Very well paced and lots going on. Smart, silly, and very gratuitous at times.
The lead is very cute - looks a bit like mercedes from hollyoaks.

What If 8/10 Starts off slowly but I think the later episodes are decent. Probably an 8/10 for the last 4/5 episodes and a 6/10 for the first few.

Couldn't find an Amazon Prime specific thread.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-67826592

Amazon is set to introduce adverts to its Prime Video streaming service from 5 February 2024.

Customers in the UK and Germany will see "limited" ads unless they pay £2.99 per month to remove them.

Previously, rivals such as Disney+ and Netflix introduced cheaper ad-supported memberships amid price rises.

Amazon said the move would "allow us to continue investing in compelling content and keep increasing that investment over a long period of time".

"We aim to have meaningfully fewer ads than linear TV and other streaming TV providers," the firm added in an email to customers.

It said even if people pay to remove ads, live content such as sports will continue to include advertising.

Just caught up and binged S5 and the final Xmas special. Great stuff, felt quite fresh still, even after five seasons.
Would have liked if at some point Mike was also able to see the ghosts but maybe they will do some more episodes one day.

I got married at 'Button House' last year so it will always be a special show to me. RIP

Hijack

It's pretty stupid throughout (the ending was especially nonsensical) but it was still pretty watchable. Derivative, but fun.

6/10

Happiness - 6/10. Another Korean zombie drama. It was fine. Definitely watchable but didn't compare favourably to other, similar series. It felt a bit by the numbers and a bit clinical whilst trying to throw some k-drama romance. They seemingly forgot about some of the characters (or didn't care enough about them to finish up their story arcs) and the ending was a bit abrupt.

Blue Eye Samurai - 8/10. I really enjoyed it, there was some annoying things from a historical standpoint that ranged from niggles (why can't they call the ruling Shogunate the Tokugawa clan rather than the Edo clan?) to straight up "huh?? what??". The whole plot around the guns for example was weird, the Japanese being surprised by guns when they'd used them effectively over a century before. Still, I'm not watching it as a history documentary so I'm trying not to judge too harshly. It's beautifully animated and I enjoyed the plot, definitely worth watching.

Severance S1 7/10: It starts off a bit slow but interesting/intriguing goes a bit too weird in the middle but then massively builds up the pace and excitement in the last 2/3 episodes.

It would be an 8/10 but for

ending on a massive cliffhanger with no concrete sign of a second season almost 2 years later.

The second season nearly wrapping up filming by the time the writers' strike started is about as concrete a sign as it gets that it's on its way.

Grim but thoroughly absorbing. Better than Ted Lasso, not as good as Severance.

Nothing is as good as Severance but better than Ted Lasso? You have my interest.

Well, I've finally watched this now and I agree with your 9. We started on Monday and were utterly gripped from start to finish.

Great performances and very pleasing to read up on afterwards because bar 1 or 2 supporting characters they fabricated, it's seems extremely accurate to me.

Also, Taron Egerton got absolutely ripped for this role :datass:

The Bear (Season 2 , Disney+) - 8/10
Doesn't quite live up to the first season, due to it's slower vibe and missing those tense kitchen scenes. However, this is quality television and is fully deserving of all its awards.

Fool Me Once

Reasonably engaging Harbon Carbon (or whatever his name is) murder mystery let down by an utterly nonsensical resolution.
