There aren't that many gaming magazines left now unfortunately, but seeing as this has been a staple of the Gaming Thread for YEARS I'm keeping the tradition alive...

I think EDGE may be in pretty dire shape. Congratulations to Official PlayStation for bucking all trends and actually increasing its figures. Quite a few positives coming out of this round of figures with a number of magazines making small gains, which in the current climate is actually pretty impressive. Never ceases to amaze me how many Sainsbury's customers really like their official magazine.
I bought GamesTM last month and I'm really disappointed in it. The features aren't as interesting as they used to be, the retro section is a bit lacking now, the design isn't great, and it's thinner yet more expensive than it ever was. A fiver for a days reading, if that.
Thanks guys! I'm very fortunate to have an amazing team, a great readership and – of course – the opportunity to write about PS4. Sony's success deserves a lot of the credit over anything I've done.
BTW, there's a new issue out today with Ratchet & Clank on the cover! *cough* *nudge* *cough*

It's about time Stuff lost some of their readers to T3 (possibly), especially now. I've been reading T3 since the redesign and along with OPM I look forward to its arrival every month. Sometimes they miss things or are a bit late reviewing stuff (the new AppleTV and NowTV boxes for example have been completely overlooked) but overall I really like it.
I haven't seen EDGE in a while in any supermarket, but when I did it's now small and thin, which rather like FHM automatically puts it at a major disadvantage on the shelf. In comparison when I go into Sainsbury's Official PlayStation now has pride of place next to the likes of Men's Health and GQ in the ever shrinking 'men zone'.

I was going to post that.

That's a lot of people that don't know how to use the EPG.
exactly. Just about everyone now should have some sort of tv that has an EPG built in due to the digital switch over and digital boxes and then there is sky, now tv, virgin and BT . I can only assume and sorry if this is sexist but women buying these mags for the trashy gossip sections and soap news. I guess the heads of those mags are doing something right.
My parents still get a TV mag cos it highlights the movies that are on and does top picks for the week and that kind of thing. My dad is also weirdly fascinated with spending his Sunday morning looking through the listings for the week, circling things and then recording them on the the Sky+ box. Its a weird system but it keeps him happy.
If you must still have a TV guide (outside of Christmas; RT supremacy) why not just buy the Daily Mail/Sun/Mirror on a Saturday? Much better value than most of the stand-alone mags.
