Still Keeping Fit

Nintendo take a 6th consecutive week at No1 with ‘Wii Fit’ (-7%) which makes 15 weeks at the top since launch – it now needs only 3 more No1’s to equal the all time record holder (‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ / Eidos).

Activision Blizzard’s big new release from last week ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ does better in week 2, but still has to settle for No2 (+16%). EA remain at No3 with ‘FIFA 09’ (+13%) and Nintendo’s ‘Wii Play’ stays at No4 (-12%). Nintendo’s ‘Mario Kart Wii’ (No5 / +5%) swaps places with Capcom’s ‘Resident Evil 5’ (No6 / -21%). Activision Blizzard climb 3 places to No7 with ‘Call of Duty: World at War’ (-3%), Nintendo climb one place to No8 with ‘Professor Layton and the Curious Village’ (-14%), Sega climb 3 places to No9 with ‘Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games’ (-2%) and the highest ‘new’ entry at No10 is Nintendo’s DS ‘Rhythm Paradise’, actually released last week but sales rocket 125% over week 1. It’s a similar situation for Disney’s ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie’, in at No18 having been released last week (+154%).

Who would have thought that game would sell. Literally, if you wnat to sell a product, get a good celebrity in to advertise it

I must say, the video game market has been dull as Cyburn's posts for a while now. Needs some action

Interesting question actually. My sister-in-law was thinking about buying a Wii and Wii Fit with no real interest in the Wii, other than for Wii Fit. You have to wonder how many people out there are buying a Wii and Wii Fit as some kind of miracle slimming aid.

Reckon that wouldn't be too impossible now they have the build of KZ2 to play with eh? This not get a price cut in some places? Really need to get back online with it! Wolverine selling well, I actually really like it. Bring the hate.
