Gears of War lead designer Cliff Bleszinski has a new game and it's a free first-person shooter called LawBreakers. It's described as a "new FPS that's all about skill, not streaks," set in a futuristic world where people have near super-human abilities thanks to low-gravity zones. It's a five-on-five multiplayer PC game where law enforcement squares off against criminals, and Bleszinski says that the three main pillars of the game are "gangs, guns, and gravity." The game will have a major focus on characters, and half of the playable cast will be female.

Getting a bit of a Shadowrun (the 2007 multiplayer FPS Shadowrun that is) vibe from that gameplay video.

I'm interested in hearing exactly how Cliffy B thinks gravity works because it is clearly different to how it has been explained to me.

Apparently the moon gets destroyed and it strawberry floats with gravity back on Earth. Do not ask me how, I'm not a scientist. But the gameplay video looks pretty good, maybe a bit slower than what I'd prefer, but visually I like the style. The environments don't look cluttered or noisy, you can easily make out weapon fire, projectiles and the other players. Kind of a mix of TF2 and Titan fall minus the crappy Titans in an arena style map. I think it looks really good.

It's sad that they have to point out female characters as a selling point, like they're breaking boundaries.

I have it on PS4

What's everyone's preferred characters? I REALLY like the harrier, but also the assassin and vanguard.

Haven't played it much, but I like playing as Kitsune, I think she be an assassin.

I was kind of interested in this hence starting this thread. But then quake champions was announced and the beta came out so I played that and enjoyed it quite a lot. This seems pretty decent from the small amount I played but not enough to reel me in right now.

It's criminal how little attention this game is getting, hopefully they can do a plus trial or something to get people to try the game out
