Leaked Assassin's Creed 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction vids

Astute tipsters discovered some unprotected directories on Ubisoft's site, and we now have 20-second clips of Splinter Cell: Conviction and Assassin's Creed 2.

Ubilol. Lolbisoft.

Edit: actually, after watching those I wouldn't be surprised if they were deliberately leaked as a tease.

While there wasn't a lot there, still exciting stuff. I look forward to the release of both of these.

AC may as well have been for the original - zero anticipation from that vid.

Splinter Cell however looked good.

I haven't watched the SCC video, but the AC2 one looks exactly as the trailer shown behind closed doors last year was described.

Almost certainly, I'd say. If that is all they'll show at actual E3, Ubisoft are kidding themselves.

Almost EVERYTHING is being leaked. As if a company is ever stupid enough to upload stuff to the website and leave it open accidentally to the public.

Apart from those in the industry (Heck, some people in the industry too) nobody really has any idea what Assassin's Creed 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction really look like, especially the latter. Conviction has been on black-out for a long time now.

While some people might think leaking a trailer means there won't be any hype for the eventual product, there is still a huge amount of information still being held back. Not many games can show off everything at one time and hope to sustain interest until launch date.

What does that have to do with anything I've said? It's just that I believe all of these 'accidental leaks' aren't accidents at all, I already know why they'd do it, but I'm not hopping onto any hype trains for 'leaks' and announcements or announcements.
