I also finished editing the pilot episode of our new internet project. It will be called "Learn English with Ricky Gervais" and it's turned out great.

We hope to have it subtitled into as many languages as possible.

I'm going to put out the first one free as a taster then work out the best way to distribute. Might charge a small fee or get it sponsored. Unlike the audio podcasts this actually costs quite a bit to make, but even if we charge it will still only be a couple of quid.

I'm thinking of making a clean version of the pilot available for download so people can put their own subtitles on it and repost it. You can do a Klingon version if you want. Interactive...so...

The pilot episode is free, the rest will be £2 each/or free with sponsership probably.

I tafloaded all their previous stuff so I think I should pay for these. Does anyone know if they'll be made available on Audible?

Or maybe he was just too busy to take part and didn't have an issue with them carrying on without him (he seems that kind of chap).

It's sad when people try to invent conflict where there is none or with scant proof.

Unless you were just joking... if so then carry on.

Isn't Merchant on a stand up tour?

In Gervais' basement.

edit: just did a quick check and couldn't find anything current. He was on tour a while ago though. So maybe he was on tour when Ricky and Karl were doing this?

Maybe Steve is concentrating on his new pilot for HBO:-

Inspired by his recent stand-up comedy tour of the same name, the planned new series Hello Ladies will focus on an English man (played by Merchant) trying to find love in Los Angeles (USA), and infiltrating the ‘world of beautiful people who won’t let him in’.

This comment is the only funny thing in this whole thread. Gervais' whole things seems to be based solely on "oh you really thought I was an awkward buffoon like I portrayed in the Office? Oh you! I can be sophisticated" *giggles at someone else talking*

strawberry floating one trick pony.

Thought it was quite funny, mainly because it was an excuse for Gervais to take the piss out of his mate.
