They're made of Lego.

I felt it worked quite well.

But I agree that it did take some getting used to.

Weirdly enough, I know the game was full of Nintendo references, but I missed every single one of them (and I completed it)! :fp:

To this day the bit/reference I remember most was all the Shawshank stuff when you go to the prison.

Ha ha, yeah that was great.

It really is an incredible game. I fully intend to buy it again :-)

Fact - it's the best Lego video game ever made, and is amazingly good fun. The game world is huge, imaginative and funny.

You fly helicopters, drive trains, jump in taxis and ice cream vans, ride dinosaurs, go to space, go on theme park rides, catch Pigs, go to kung fu school, escape from Alcatraz...I could go on forever.

If this game had some kind of licence slapped on it, it would sell millions, but sadly "lego city" just isn't cool enough...

I agree with you, it is definitely the best Lego game I've played and I would have preferred an actual sequel. On the sales front it sold a respectable 1.17m on the wii u. Hopefully it will get enough publicity on the PS4 and xbox1 to do some good numbers but I think it will just slip out and be ignored sadly.

I wonder if part of the issue is that the game is being released at the usual fifty quid price point? The game appeared four years ago on the U and it can be picked up for around seventeen pounds. Sure, it's slightly shinier now (hopefully quicker loading and with a two-player mode) but this feels like a pretty slight update for the extra cash.

I thought that it would be cheaper as the PC version is only £14.99 from CDkeys.com.

£45 on Amazon for PS4/XO with the Switch version at £40. At those prices, I think I'll wait.

I really liked what I played of this on Wii U but ultimately the load times put me off, looking forward to playing the whole thing but I think I'll go with the PC version so long as the port is good. You can already get it for £20 from CD Keys, it'll be down to a tenner in a couple of months time.

Jamo, as Dragon suggested, it's cheaper than you'd thought - now £14.49 at CDkeys.

I am tempted by the PC one, I have the Steam Link so can still play on the TV. I'm cool with slow loading (or at least pretty sure I am) and the trailer looked as though it makes good use of the Gamepad so it seems like the experience would be awesome on U....

Bloody hell, that's gone down fast - I didn't spot Dragons post, it was £19.99 on Saturday! At this rate it'll be £5 by the end of the week!

I bought it last night for £14.99 and cancelled my order for £18.99  I'll re-order it tonight.

Switch version is beginning to look like the full game isn't even on the cartridge. A 13GB download may be required to download the rest of the game.

Basically so they can use lower capacity (cheaper) carts.

If that's the case, it's shocking. I guess that means you have to buy a higher capacity SD card to be able to play the game?

I was planning on getting this for Switch when I got one (in fact I have pre-ordered it), but I refuse to buy a game which requires you to buy a memory card to make it work.

Plus, I already have the Wii U version :-)

I'll nab it on the PS4 or Xbox, then! A 13GB download is absolutely insane (especially for what could class as a handheld console :dread: ) 13GB is probably the entire game!

The full game is about 20GB on Wii U, so it looks like WB went for the 8GB game carts to save money rather than the 32GB carts.
