We put in around 2 hours on the first play through of the Who level and only picked up 1 of the minikit pieces. 100% it would take a good 4+ hours I think in addition to the Who hub world. And the K-9 is just

Really decent prices on Lego Dimensions level packs on Amazon US. Just picked up the Midway Arcade pack for £18 and change. I'd like to have picked up the portal one too with cheap combined shipping but that pushed it over the import duty limit. I guess you might be able to add a character pack (most seem to be at $7.50 again) and still keep it under the limit.

Reading the review of the Midway pack and supposedly you get 20 odd emulated arcade games within the pack. Sounds pretty good.

EDIT: And here's the trailer, glad I decided to go for it now.

Yeah, I watched a vid of someone playing the set and it looked pretty neat. The emulated games look to be the originals (i.e. not ropey versions or - shudder - "re-imagined") and they have some quite cool artwork surrounding them, with the original art updated to include Lego stuff. The games do double-up a bit (i.e. Defender I and II, Joust I and II, Gauntlet I and II etc) but it still looks to be great fun.

I held off from Dimensions but I definitely would have wanted to grab this pack had I jumped aboard. It'll be cool to hear your views on the set, Rex.

I really enjoyed the Midway stuff in the main game but it did just make me want to play Gauntlet on my PS4. The list of games is pretty fantastic, like a love letter to my childhood arcades. I really hope they include multiplayer

720°, Badlands, Blasteroids, Championship Sprint, Defender, Defender II (aka Stargate), Gauntlet, Gauntlet II, Klax, Joust, Joust 2, Marble Madness, Paperboy, Rampage, Road Blasters, Robotron: 2084, Spy Hunter, Super Sprint, Timber, Toobin’, Cyberball, Vindicators, and Xybots.

Ooohh exciting! Dimensions lives and dies on the quality of its licenses and looks like they could have some good ones here, very intrigued by that Ghostbusters story pack.

With the level packs and characters, are you able to get them without having to buy the figures? Can you buy digitally?

Are ET and The Goonies official Lego products?

Id rather see some Lego themed packs like the old Pirates sets (could have been sold as a cheaper version of The Goonies - saving licensing fees and passing it on to the players to get them hooked) or like the Ice Planet sets etc

No, having the figures on the base unlocks the content.

Hoping the addition of Lego City Undercover means there's chance for some other old Lego franchises to pop up, too. I'd love a Lego Island world

Do it, it's pretty damn good (the regeneration into a different doctor every time you die is a such a fantastic touch.

So the Ghostbusters pack actually builds a new portal on top of the existing base? I'll be really interested to see how the Gremlins license comes out, that could be a huge amount of fun. Some other interesting properties in there too.

I'm interested to see what they do with year 2, the big expansion looks like it's the new ghostbusters, and a few level packs. I wasn't massively sold on the level packs last time round as they were so expensive for what they actually gave you. I picked up the portal 2 set for about £25 and the level itself can easily be done in an hour. I'm hoping the new content is a bit meatier than the last level packs/hub worlds.

Looks like ahead of Season 2 Tesco are having a clear out of all remaining S1 stock. Was just in store and everything was half price :datass:

Picked up the Ghostbusters level pack. Was tempted to go for Superman and Simpsons character packs for under £7 each but held off for now.

Will probably stream a bit later on :datass:

I did the very same :) Got the Scooby Doo pack too. Also finally completed the main game today :toot: Also also, looking at the trophies I have left to get, this could be my first platinum. :toot: again
