Good find, there are some decent prices on the level packs too. Do they work ok on the UK version? Region locking was always a problem with Skylanders so I could never get them from the US (where they were much cheaper, obvs).

I'd kind of assumed the packs weren't region protected but I didn't know that about Skylanders. Better check and cancel if they are.

EDIT: Can't find a definitive 'I've bought US figures and they work fine in the UK' but the general impression is that they aren't region locked.

My daughter spent a lot of the afternoon running up the Rule Breaker tag in Middle Earth yesterday. It's such a cool game world, love how they've managed to cram everything in.

Back to the Amazon deal again this morning. If you hunt through and change the default seller then there are a lot of other packs at $7.49 too including the Wicked Witch, some Chima packs, Simpsons etc. Basically anything from waves 1 & 2.

Yep, pretty amazing price difference between regions! The ones that aren't defaulted to the lowest price have a 2-5 week wait so I just went for Ninjago dude, Cyberman and the Ghostbusters set.

We've been doing more exploring and realising just how many skills there are to unlock. The fact that there are so many spreadsheets out there to track who has what says it all!

The license for ghost busters seemed poorly implemented in game, like The Simpsons one so I think I'll give this a miss. You can really tell the difference between stuff they're limited in what they can do and the stuff where they just have a field day.

Yeah the ghostbusters level in the sorry of the main game was pretty gooseberry fool compared to the others.

The Back to the Future pack vs. The Portal 2 pack for example.

Finished the pack level tonight, it was brilliant! It was practically Portal 3, or Portal 2.5 at least. I've yet to get to the level in the main game but did spend a bit of time checking out the adventure world.

Shame that the Ghostbusters level isn't that good, I was looking forward to getting to that one.

The starter packs for the PS4 and Xbox One are currently £55 in Sainsbury's.

Tempted to get it now at that price.

That's a good price for it, I'd say it was worth checking out if you're interested. We're still playing through the main story mode while my daughter is also quite happy exploring the adventure worlds.

We've bought a couple of other figures, but they're pretty incidental, you can still get a lot of enjoyment out of just the starter pack. You should totally get the Portal level pack though. It's worth playing for that alone.

We played through the Midway arcade level today, it was absolutely fantastic. It's definitely picked up considerably (aside from the Ghostbusters level which was a bit of a disappointment). Also, the art style in the Scooby Doo level is just lovely.

Finished this (and got all the achievements) today... Loved every minute of it especially after the pace picked up from the BTTF level onwards. I'm genuinely gutted it's over.

Glad you enjoyed it plastic. There is definitely a point where the game ups the ante. If you really loved it you can't go far wrong with the Level Packs. I'm going to stream this again tomorrow so I'll show off all the sets.

Heading online with this shortly. Probably going to be doing a bit of a tour of all my world's to Hoover up some yellow bricks. Happy to take requests though.

Any suggestions of what packs to get?

I was playing the Doctor Who pack with my son yesterday and it's an absolute blast. Also the 2 builds are really quite nice. I've also heard good things about the Portal pack, not so much about the BTTF or Simpsons ones.

I've got the bttf and Dr who packs. Only played the bttf one so far and while that trilogy is my favourite set of films ever, even that couldn't blind me to it being a total and disgusting rip off. Closer to 30 pounds for a 15 min level and a so so hub world.

Hopefully the who one is better.

I do however want to get the portal one as I think that should have some actual good puzzle gameplay in it.
