Dragging this out of the depths as I picked up the Ghostbusters level pack for £18 from Tesco at the weekend. I've been loitering around waiting for them to start discounting now that the 2nd gen stuff is out and it looks like it might be happening.
Almost certainly going to pick up the Fantastic Beasts pack as well, Amazon have it for £32 at the moment which seems a decent price.

All level and team packs are currently £19.99 at GAME in store and online, including year two and even pre-orders for the Sonic level pack and Gremlins team pack that are coming out on November 18th.

My brother has wasted a shitload of money on this game buying every single expansion set currently available before deciding he found the game too buggy and now wants shot of it all. He's tried part-exing it all in a couple of shops but nowhere will take it citing that they cant verify the completeness of each set. Anybody got any ideas how he could shift it?

Hmm, that's an idea. I don't think he has an account but I suppose I could always list it for him. I was contemplating taking it off his hands myself but we're taking about a lot of stuff here and I doubt I have the space or cash to buy it all.

Avforums.com may be an idea, the only downside for him is the price for most of the first wave stuff has come down quite significantly, I. E. Starter set £29.99 at Smyths, some of the fun packs £7-10 or three for two, and most level packs £20 new now.
Ebay is still the best bet, I'd be interested if they were to split, as I'm still after a few bits from the first waves

The Lego Dimensions facebook page posted an image of the Red Dwarf sleeping quarters in CGI Lego form earlier.
At work so not able to share it yet but it's there.
Now I've not bought Lego Dimensions, but instant sale for me.

Red Dwarf has landed in Lego Dimensions, via a new area of the game hidden in the the upcoming Fantastic Beasts expansion.
Lego Dimensions designer and writer Joe Moore shared a screenshot of the Red Dwarf section on Twitter:
There's the bunk room on Red Dwarf featured in recent series, home to Lister, Rimmer, Cat and Kryten.
Red Dwarf is not one of the brands officially included in Lego's multiverse mash-up, and to us this looks like a hidden area of another level.
It would make sense if this is accessed via a new TARDIS spot, for players with the Doctor Who pack. After all, both franchises are classic BBC sci-fi shows.
A screenshot on Reddit shows the area will be part of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them story pack, due to launch this Friday.
With that in mind, it remains to be seen if any more will be made of Red Dwarf in Lego form in the future.
Lego Dimensions' first year included Jetsons and Flintstones areas accessible via the TARDIS, which tied into the fact Lego Dimensions has a Scooby-Doo area (the cartoons share the same parent company, Hanna-Barbera). But neither brand ended up as a full addition to the game (or as a physical Lego set).
There is, however, a physical Lego Red Dwarf set currently in the official review stage at Lego's community-driven Ideas site. Could this be a hint that project has been successful? It's worth bearing in mind that Lego Ideas previously generated a Doctor Who set due to fan demand...

Yeah a Red Dwarf level pack would have gotten me to pull the trigger now the starter set has dropped in price but just an Easter egg isn't enough.
I guess full on Red Dwarf might be a bit too mature for Lego Dimensions?

Just in Argos picking this up whilst it's £29.99! I've ordered the PS4 Starter set with Supergirl, Ghostbusters level pack and I got a free fun pack with the Starter set so i've plumped for the Slimer set

So I got some more level packs for this (Simpsons, Sonic and Adventure Time) but i've not played the game yet. How far do I have to play through the main game before I can start playing through the add on level pack?

Pretty much straight away once you've built the portal (maybe takes an hour). Stick the new character on and it'll prompt you if you want to play that content (level packs). For fun pack adventure worlds you need be in the vortron (or whatever its called) and then go to the computer to the right of the portal.

Picked up Harry Potter team pack and Mission Impossible level pack from Tesco today, £16 each and BOGOF. Looks like a deal that is in most stores but I'd imagine stock might be limited.

Rumours abound that
Lego Dimensions development has ended.
It’s a shame as the kit always looked quite attractive. Even so, personally I never jumped aboard because of the potential costs involved.
The toys-to-life seems to be suffering at the moment, with Disney Infinity gone, Skylanders on hiatus, amiibo lacking - in my opinion - decent game integration and now Lego Dimensions ending. I wonder what the reception will be for Ubisoft’s upcoming Starlink: Battle for Atlas?

I was just about to post this, must have missed it the other day.
Overall I didn't like it. Way too expensive and I've (my wife) wasted far too much on this for my son who rarely played it. You get far more value would of buying a regular lego game.
It's a shame as there were some gems in there that deserved a full game but only got a few levels because of the concept of dimensions.
Lego back to the future was great for example and really could have made a full game. Same with ghostbusters. I never played the goonies but I would have loved that as a full game as well.
I should add though it was much better than Disney infinity.
