Okay, so I've got Lego Worlds for Switch... it seems fun and I've completed the opening level.

However, I'm now on the second world - Prehistoric Peril - and I'm stuck! I think a meteorite is meant to fall and allow me to get the landscaping tool, but in my game the meteor crater is there... but no meteorite. I can't progress the game and, even after flying back to the starting planet and then returning to Prehistoric Peril, the meteorite still doesn't appear. I can't seem to do anything about it.

Has anyone else started this on Switch yet? Help!

Lego games gonna Lego game. I do like me some Lego games but they have long been notoriously buggy affairs. There tends to be some minor bug or other that without careful planning prevents you from progressing certain objectives. Maybe try looking up the trophy guide at http://www.playstationtrophies.org as I know it's a different format but they usually list known bugs.

Having looked at a few vids on YouTube, it seems that the meteorite should pop up easily... I'm wondering if it disappeared because I saved and quit the game before actually collecting it when it landed. Probably a bug.

Ah well, it looks like I'll have to start again :| . Top tip: collect meteorite stuff before saving your game.

Yep, I started again and it worked fine this time around. I've got to world three (Candy something-or-other) and I'm really enjoying it. It takes some ideas from No Man's Sky* in that the worlds are randomly created and you complete activities on each one before jetting off to the next one. I've only played in portable mode so far but the tech performance seems okay and there are some nice lighting effects. The controls are a wee bit fiddly but there is a surprising amount of potential here.

* I've probs put most of you off now... it was meant as a compliment!

Yeah, Rex, two people can play - although I have read that technical performance is a bit weak on all formats in this mode.

Oh, and just a point to note for anyone who is thinking of getting the Switch version (hundreds of you!)... the cartridge version comes with a voucher for two DLC packs (Classic Space, available now, and Monsters, available October) whilst the download version is slightly cheaper but you have to pay extra to download the DLC packs.

Oh (2), the box's inside cover should have been pretty sweet, huh? Maybe some ace Lego artwork? Nah... Warner has chosen to fill it with legal text :fp:  .

I should probably play this, Ive had it since it was in early access on Steam but outside of messing around with it a couple of times I havent given it any attention. Now that its a proper game with levels and goals and gooseberry fool I should spend some time with it.

I got this today after seeing this thread and watching a few videos. It's quite addictive!

The controls are a bit mental and it can be slightly glitchy, but generally it is a lot of fun for the price.

It has been quite a surprise... I hadn't realised it was, basically, a giant sandbox. The game has been a lot of fun so far but, yeah, the controls can be a little unwieldy on occasion and there are a few bugs although I think these are generally due to the huge open nature of the game.

I was doing okay but I've now landed on a Classic Space planet where some of the mission objectives seem to be a little obscure... I'll take another look later :-).

I've played this a few times with my son, whilst it has it's good points what i wanted to be able to do was just have a massive open world like in Minecraft on creative mode and just build a massive lego city.

You can do that once you have unlocked the biggest planets and, of course, all the building types.

I'm sure I saw a sandbox mode which said everything in it was unlocked?

Just gone through a whole battery charge playing this game!

Yeah, when loading up my game I get a choice of Adventure mode or Sandbox mode. I've only played Adventure so far, though.

Classic Space is great fun!

This is an odd game, the controls are really cumbersome but it's so bloody addictive!

Hopefully if they keep updating the game they can improve the building mechanics, bit generally there is a heck of a lot on offer for the budget price.

If they can do licenced kits at some point, I can see this being quite successful.

I've started to work through the missions on a Classic Space planet. Some of them are a little obscure as to what you're meant to be doing but usually things click into place. I've started one task where I had to construct a particular building but I wandered off to look at other things and, returning later, I've forgotten what I had to do... and I don't think there is a way of getting a reminder.

It is clunky, perhaps a bit buggy and things don't always quite gel but it is also wonderfully open - a giant play pit to get lost in!

I had no idea that they had added the sandbox in an update in may. I bought the game in March for the Xbox one, played it a couple of times with my son, got stuck and gave up. He hadn't mentioned the sandbox to me and I haven't seen him play it. I will give it a look.

Man, this is so addictive. I think I'll just play it for ten minutes and an hour zooms past!

Can you play this in multiplayer on the switch?
