That LBP 1, 2, PSP and Vita were all great, but this demo looked unpolished as hell and ran like ass.

Compare it to the initial LBP reveal at GDC 2007. Night and day difference.

After playing LBP, LBP and vita LBP I feel really burned out on this series so my excitement is at absolute zero for this. Doesn't help that it looks just the same as the ps3 games.

You think she would learn how to wall jump first!

Looks ok but just like the last. I'll wait to see more

That explains the lack of better graphics.

Game needs more colour, it's got a horrible brown/cardboard tint or just a weird lighting engine.

I'd be more excited if they allowed you to customise the gravity to rid the floaty physics.

They've allowed you to customise gravity settings for the last two games.

I think if the physics were actually realtime it would alleviate a lot of the issues people have with the platforming, but they're still at like half-speed or something, so it feels like there's some serious input lag. A lot of the "floatiness" is just inherent to basing movement on physics. If a platform is moving even just slightly upwards vs slightly downwards when you jump, your trajectory varies wildly. They could break the physics rules for Sackboy's jump itself, but that breaks existing content, screws with some of his own interactions (like swinging or running atop a ball or something), and leads to wide inconsistencies in how the game feels from level to level.

Luckily, though, in finally introducing new playable characters to the game, they finally have an "out" in that they can cut some of those hurdles out of the way and just say "Meet Mario. He moves like this. You can set levels in LBP3 to use Mario only". But they probably won't.

I hope the campaign is longer than LBP2 as I felt that was shorter than the original. The developers need to understand that not everyone wants to strawberry float about making and using other people's UGC and some want a nice campaign of decent length they can play.

Yes?

Sony has announced a starry voice cast for LittleBigPlanet 3, which will see series narrator Stephen Fry reunited with comedy partner Hugh Laurie.

Laurie is set to play Newton, the game's baddie - that's him over on the right. You can also see him sparring off against Fry in the new trailer below.
Other famous voices set to be included are Shaun of the Dead's Peter Serafinowicz, Alan Partridge's Simon Greenall and My Little Pony's Tara Strong.

Uncharted, Assassin's Creed and Batman: Arkham voice actor Nolan North will also have a role.

LittleBigPlanet 3 is due to launch in the UK on 19th November. It's the first edition of the series to launch for PlayStation 4, but a PS3 version is also in the works.
