Okay. I'm just loading up Pacific Drive on my PS5. Headphones are on.

I'm going to live post my thoughts about the game here; right from the off.

First things first...I keep calling it Pacific Drift rather than Pacific Drive  .

I heard that the night time is a bit dark on screen, so I've set the option for "brighter nights". There are colour-blind options, too, but I'll try out the standard version first.

There really are lots of options. I'll leave the rest at default for now.

Started out!

Great atmosphere; darkening sky and rain arrived. Had to turn on the wipers. Radio is playing.

Excellent DualSense feedback as we're driving over the rough road surface.

Going into a tunnel... have put the headlights on.

His signal cut out when he went through that tunnel.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Oh boy, things... changed!

I won't spoil things but, yeah, I'm now in the exclusion zone and I gotta fix my car. Love the atmosphere so far.

I'm going to go into the options and change the setting for item highlight; it's not too obvious by default.

Just trying something different, dude. I don't yet know how to stream on PS5!

Things sure heated up, Winckle!

Everything is very manual. I'm exploring a garage and, about five minutes later, I'd realised that I'd left the lights, wipers and engine on when I left the car! Sorted that out now.

Looking around the garage.

Got the car into the garage.

A storm has come in; the thunder and lightning sound effects are very good indeed.

Let's hope the car doesn't get abandoned in Hyrule Field.

That's going to be the Exeter DLC.

... .

Right. So I've got a jukebox working!

But I need to find - or make? - a replacement car door and, after ten minutes of wandering around, I haven't been successful. Uhm... stuck!

I gotta go do a few chores now so I'll hit pause and continue later.

So, that first hour. I really enjoyed it; it feels so atmospheric and the darkness and - super - sound effects really help with this. Looking forward to playing more!

I may well need your advice if I can't work out how to fix the car door, JCD!

This isn't Fallout 76?
