I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Not sure about the "fused with a wraith" thing though

This is going to be tryhard "edgy"/"mature" bland open world rubbish that dumps on the source material from a great height, calling it now.

Sounds intriguing, though. Remember, I'm someone who still thinks both LotR: Conquest and LotR: The War in the North are good games! :slol: I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

If they'd announced this a good few years ago when I was still reading LoTR once a year I would be raging. But after the whole The Hobbit trilogy bollocks I'm past caring. So yeah, the most I'm hoping from this is that strawberry floating with the story delivers a better game.

I won't be playing as an Orc then :(

Out.

Ranger = Aragorn, edgy as strawberry float
Fused with a wraith = oooh dark magic powers so edgy such cool

It looks like someone watched a terrible let's play of Soul Reaver after reading about how many 'next gen' games are going to be open world, combined all those factors, focus-tested it to find the blandest and most homogenised way of doing it as possible, and is making a big song and dance about it.

6 months after release the developers will do post-mortem interviews about why it failed to meet sales targets etc as the studio closes.

Anyone, direct Denster to this.

If he's raging and foaming at the mouth out of fury, then it's shite.

Not sure why a film adaptation strawberry float up would make you not care about a game adaptation strawberry float up.

I'm there with. Nothing to suggest it'll be bad yet, just a bunch of pessimists up in here being pessimistic because it makes them feel good.

I really don't get the 'bland open world rubbish' type comments.

However you can't argue that it doesn't sound like it gooseberry fools all over the integrity of the books...though that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be a bad game.

I'll probably buy it because I am an idiot that will buy anything LoTR. It will be a shite game though.
