I looked at it when it came out, but the "content" in it seems so shallow and unnecessary; a couple of missions that will take less than an hour tops and a few other trinkets/captain types here and there.

Yeah I have it. Well worth it. More of the same. A whole new quest about beast riding war chiefs too.

Personally I adore the game and anymore of it is worth it.

Wish my image sig would work

The game looks stunning in places, like playable concept art. I've just learned the move where you target someone with your bow and then warp to them for an attack, it's brilliant for steaming right in to the thick of it.

Too late now, most people seem to think its massively overpriced for what it is anyway. Got lots of other games to play.

I've just got this and am playing on PS4. I absolutely suck at it

One captain keeps coming back and chasing me around the map. He's resistant to range and combat attacks, so needs to be taken out by stealth. That's all well and good, but because I can't assassinate him, he comes back almost immediately with another facial deformity and more anger!

Heard it gets slightly easier as you go through the game though, so will stick at it. Haven't done any story missions yet, just running around working out how to kill orc.

Use the stun attack on the people fighting around him and build up a combo with them, then use the finisher you've built up on him to deal damage. Failing that use the environment, run close to a fire and blow that up to deal damage, let an animal out of a cage, drop some flies etc.

Unlocked the wrait teleport kill thing, so strawberry floating sweet doing that in the middle of a fight :datass:

I found the enemies with a weakness to stealth to be fairly straightforward, although it can be a bit tricky if they are surrounded by other Uruks. I can't remember whether it's something you need to unlock or if it's a standard ability, but there is a stealth air attack which works well if you can get yourself in a position above the enemy.

So levelled up I don't even bother trying to find their weaknesses :datass:

Steam in, stealth them, or just batter the gooseberry fool out of them, the finisher move..scares nearly everyone off, cue me chasing the chief down across the map :slol:

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Yeah that's pretty much my method, just steam in and go for finishers. Love it when they leg it, then they almost get away but you pin them to the spot with your last arrow from miles away, then you decapitate the bugger :datass:

Got to the other area earlier, looks pretty.

Just finished this, that final boss :fp: :fp: :fp:

Had a great end to the game though as I'd spent most of the day trying to brand the war chiefs indirectly by branding someone lower, then helping them ascend for the extra challenge, so when it came to the last bit i had 4 war chiefs with me that I knew reasonably well. When it said to face my nemesis it fell a bit flat as I'd only seen him for the first time about 10 mins before  I'd image that to be more of a float yeah moment if you found it tough early on.

Waaaaay too easy but amazing combat plus I think I'll go for the platinum as some of the nemesis related trophies sound fun.

100% this now and going through the DLC. Which has to be said is actually pretty tough due to being stripped of all my usual power ups. Same war chief has killed me 4 time in a row. He is going down to right though. Will ride a graug in. See how he likes that!

Wish my image sig would work

I've finally bought this game. Downloading now on Steam. I kept putting if off, and bought Alien Isolation, then Assassin's Creed Unity instead. Both where a bit of a let down, and I suspect I should have bought this all along. I'm not the biggest LOTR fan, but I'm still hearing so many good things about SoM.

Also just started this. Didn't overly overly the first mission following rat bag, just feel way underpowered. Is it worth spending a bit of time levelling up?

Keep at it. Pretty much everyone gets their arse kicked for a while. If it continues well into the game then peruse previous pages of this thread for tips.

I picked this up for the 360 a few weeks back.

Pro Tip: Don't buy the 360 version.
faaaahck me... it looks awful and plays awful.

Cutscenes every two minutes with a 30 second load time between each as well. The cutscenes were done with xbox one / ps4 graphics too, just to rub it in.

Going to save it until i can at least afford a next gen console.

Really into this now. No idea why I struggled so much with the first mission as the stealth is ridiculously easy.
