Got to the second area and just learnt the brand ability. Had some epic stronghold fights. Body guards, captains, war chiefs and a few other random beasts. May back track a bit to do done more side missions to fully power myself up before the end game.

Its utterly amazing how much personality each Urk has. More than most main characters in most big budget games. Issuing threats then going up against a level 20 guy who has killed me multiple times is so much fun. Much more cinematic than the main plot.

The way the camera stops and zooms in when a captain clocks you  or when you're chased through a strong hold cornered in an area, switch to other vision and spot a huge explosive barrel, slow mo and boom! Everyone on fire and now I'm chasing the captain 8-)

Wish my image sig would work

I'm building up to the final mission, just got to brand all the warchiefs and then its on to the last mission. I've done almost everything else too, just a couple of weapon challenges and a few slave liberation missions left.

Its been pretty good, but once i've finished it i think i'll have gotten as much out of it as i'm going to - the dlc looks pointless and while killing orcs and strawberry floating about with the leadership is cool, there isn't really much beyond that.

I'm getting pissed off with this. This creature is level 26 because he killed me like around 20 times. Never travels alone and even when I avoid him he pops up out of nowhere and wants to fight me.

Loving the game but glad I didn't pay for it as it seems i'm not going to put up with it for long.

Run. Run like a mofo but keep attacking the nemesis uruk. Drag him away from his guard and fight him solo. If the guard keep following then run and whittle them down with headshots with the bow and arrow as you go.

If that doesn't work... I dunno, tell 'em you're from the 'hood?

I've had captains pop up with metal plates on their head, wrapped in bandages, scarred etc, mocking me for not finishing the job and swearing revenge, and I have no idea who they are and no memory of fighting them. Essentially it plays out like this:

I need to crack on with the story, I've taken down three warchiefs, but I have been spending my time hunting down vendettas and generally stalking Uruks. The game really is a lot of fun just to piss about, playing like a predator.

That's what I have been doing. I am starting to do more of the missions as there are some upgrades that I want that are locked until I complete certain story missions.

Delivered a death threat for the first time and the guy I chose had his level rise from 15 to 20. Gulp.

I'm having that problem. I ploughed through, killing so many of them that I don't remember any of the survivors.

I think I've spent too much time on the side stuff now as I'm at that point where I'm just going through the motions of mopping things up and not caring about the story.

For anyone who's finished this, is there any point to buffing up your branded warchiefs before the final mission, like getting them 5 high-level bodyguards each etc?

Nah not really, if you are going to go through and platinum it doesn't matter either!

...and done. I see what people mean about the ending kind of running out of gameplay/ideas. Now to wait for the inevitable sequel

The whole "it's time for a new ring" line at the end was a bit odd, does this mean that his inevitable corruption from having too much power will come in the next one?

I have a couple of things left to do, and strawberry floating around with the nemesis system is all well and good, but I think i'm done with this now, it was a fun ride. Not going to bother with the DLC at all.

Completed it myself this evening I still have some of the side missions to complete but I can't see me coming back to complete those. The game was hugely entertaining and probably the game I've enjoyed the most of 2014.

Does the 'Premium' Edition of this include the Dark Ranger/Deadly Rune DLC?

Don't know, but neither are really needed!

Thanks, yeah, by the sounds of it they are nothing special. I took the plunge on the Premium Edition.

I redeemed my codes, but it had no real effect on my game.

Yeah he ruined the whole game for me. Now he is at level 40 and is literally bullying me all over the place. Even If i go somewhere else, he shows up and laughs his strawberry floating ass off.

I wish there was a button you could plea for mercy or something.
