Thanks guys :)

Zellery wrote:Wow, never been into this thread before. Some of those covers are great LS!

I particularly like the FFVII, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City and Resident Evil 6 covers.

How do you go about making these covers? Keep up the great work!

It's all just Photoshop combinations really. Some of it just slapping renders into the right places, some is editing each individual component and some is creating bits from scratch. I've taken to creating custom logos recently, it's something I really enjoy.

Just saw this thread, awesome work!

Could you do one for a space game like X3: Terran Conflict or Freelancer? The X games deserve better box art than just an X in front of a planet...

On the other hand Freelancers Box art always seemed really good and I think a re-imagining would be awesome...

I'd love to say yes to either of those but I tend to stick to boxes of games I'm interested in as it's easier to work on something I'm knowledgeable about. :P

Guess that makes sense, although I'd highly recommend Freelancer. :shifty:

Good stuff, love the Pokemon Atari mash up ones.

I work in web/graphic design too, and one thing you'll find valuable to your box art designs is some nicely kerned text. This tutorial/game is great at showing the basics:

I have to be honest. I don't really get these as you are just, making box art look like generic box art you know? Like, re-using art assets from other games or promo artwork and copy pasting kinda thing. Like if I were you, I'd make more boxart that's original/different looking than the norm. these look like they could have been the real artwork, and as you didn't create the actual artwork been used on them. I can't help but feel these are kind of redundant. Sorry to sound like a banana split. Just being honest.
